Bella Czech PilsBella Czech Pils
Notes: A traditional Czech Pils brewed with all German & Czech hops. The combination of European hops & malts create a noble hop flavor with a spiciness of Czech Saaz.
TYPE: Czech Pilsner

Impressive, lasting white head. Good webby lace between the sip rings. The liquid is dusty gold with a mild haze.

There's an unexpected sourness to the nose. I don't get any of the softer malts or aromatic noble hops.

The flavor is similar to the smell. There's also a strong, biting hop bitterness. Good body, higher than typical carbonation. Long aftertaste, particularly for the purported style.

Pours a clear straw color with a white head. Lots of lacing and bubbles. Smells of cracker-y malt and floral hops. Taste is clean grain, a bit of earthiness, and a bitterness throughout. Bit of an unpleasant sour aftertaste. Well carbonated, light bodied, and dry. Easy drinking but not the best tasting pilsner

Golden pale yellow in color. Classic looking. Grassy, toasted pilsner malt and noble hop earthiness. Clean grain, shorter finish. Some lingering bitterness. Decent, easy drinking pilsner.

Poured a light clear golden color with a 2F head in a Pilsner glass.
Carbonation bubbles from the bottom of the glass.

Faint aroma, much lighter than usual from a Czech pils.
Light fruit, malt.

MF: quite nice. Lightly carbonated, zesty, not overdone,
Lighter than other beers in the style, and very enjoyable.

Taste: fruit and malt. Very enjoyable especially with warming.

Overall: quite drinkable and good approach to a Czech Pilsner.
I would have liked a stronger aroma, otherwise, the beer is worth checking out.

On tap at the Tilted Kilt in Nashua, NH on January 21, 2017.

It almost had a Nitro look to it with its foamy white head, pale yellow color with cram colored streams at the start.

Nice aroma of toasted white bread, crackers, and a faint grassy hop profile.

The body was light but quite smooth...again, like a Nitro.

The grassy hops step forward a bit more in the taste, which was also toasty and sweet. A nice Pilsener.

re-visited 3/16/17. 12 oz. Can notated with *
Monster go-to from the brewery can. 32 oz. Beast.
Totally clear, pale gold, bubbly, minimal white top.* A rather large, fluffy white cap hold on tight.
Perfect, herbal, funky, yeast based effect. Rice, wheat, herbal hop deal style aroma.* Very classic aromatatics, bready and buttery malt, big herbs and spices from traditional German hops.

Incredibly clean, smooth, snappy thing, feel and flavor. Subtle fruit, zesty, herbal hops and yeast. Amazing flavor balance, grassy, dry and tangy finish.
A classic Pilz , traditional and rather complex. Just right for gameday.

Can. Bill okay'd this name? It pours hazier than mostly all Pilsners I have seen. Thin head. Not the prettiest. Aroma is more on point. Grainy, pils malt, very light hop profile. Pretty suggestive lager yeast. Flavor is of honey, malted pale grain, & a mixture of yeast and hops that tastes somewhat soapy. Light bodied. I'm always in the mood for a Pilsner nowadays, so this one didn't offend.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a very light yellow color with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains lager yeast, light caramelized malts and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a thin malt character. Then some malt sweetness comes along with some mild flavors of citrus and caramel. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, although there are better choices within the style, this is still a solid beer to drink for a while.
