A- Pale straw color. One finger head.

S- Grainy, grassy, and (yes) blueberries. Sweet as well. Fruit smell is the difference maker from this just smelling like an American lager.

T- Sweet, tart blueberries, with a grainy, malty backbone. Just like a blueberry pancake! Not bitter. Very clean tasting.

M- Light to Medium mouthfeel; not too dry. Initial sip is watery. It's easy to drink for sure, but just a little too much carbination is my only complaint.

*Overall this is a nice beer that is easy on the drinking and pleasant in taste. This is good with a few fresh or frozen blueberries to enhance the flavor. They also look cool and they move up and down in the glass.

I had the Wachusett Blueberry Ale out of a 12 oz bottle. Oct was notched for "freshest taste enjoy by". It tasted fresh.

The beer poured with a minimal head, but on par with this type of ale. I noticed some serious carbonation bubbles. This beer had a slight yellow color to it.

The taste is clean and crisp. The sweetness is right up for from the blueberries. There is a syrupy finish. The blueberry presence is righ there. It's not overpowering like some interpretations of this style, but its also not missing like some blueberry ales.

Not the best blueberry ale I have had to date, but good. Very drinkable beer in hot weather.

Very pale yellow gold brew with a full fluffy white head and a great coat of lacing poured cold into a glass mug. The aroma is strictly a delightful blueberry, not much more than that. The taste is very light and effervescent with white bread and light blueberry and biscuit. For blueberry's sake this is alright but as beer goes I have had a little better fruit combos. But definitely not a bad option for a hot summer day with something a little different. Very drinkable.

I really enjoy tasting blueberry beers. As this one goes, it's not bad, but it wouldn't top the list as my favorite. Served in a bottle, it poured a sharp, translucent golden color with a fine white head. It smelled citrusy and a little floral. First taste was also citrusy, the blueberry flavor was just an undertone. The flavor ended with a bit of a hoppy bite that ledt an almost smoky aftertaste. It was a refreshing beer, coming in from the heat of summer, drinkable and fairly smooth.

appearance - Clear yellow color. Poured a large head, but then went down to a pond of foam. Left some lace.

smell - blueberry smell , not much going on.

taste - Taste of blueberries, and some light hops. Very watery. Not one of the better blueberry ales I have had.

mouthfeel - Light, watery.

drinkability - I added some actual blueberries to the mix. See if it would improve the taste, was not impressed on the taste. I have had better.

Wachusett Blueberry is an acceptable beer overall, it has a very light feel, comparable to bud light with a just a hint of blueberry flavor but a huge hit of blueberry aroma. A good summer beer that is easy drinking but not anything fantastic, a would recommend beer.

Thanks to the legendary woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is bursting with blueberries, some sweetness. Taste is slightly tart, the berries not nearly as strong as the aroma, pretty refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Picked this up at Pickadilly Pub. Unfortunately this beer was about two months past its prime. The waitress claimed it wasn't a big seller. Poured a pale amber with a minimal head. Blueberry smell (just a blueberry flavoring) is quite strong. That's really the only aroma that's detectable apart from the grainy beer smell. Tastes mildly of blueberries - not overpowering. Fairly crisp. Ends on the dry side. Of the two blueberry flavored beers I've reviewed this is the better. Nonetheless, it's nothing to write home about. Just tastes like an average beer with a bit of fake blueberry flavoring.

Poured from bottle to pint glass

A-Body pours clear and golden in color with no head to speak of.

S-A powerful smell of blueberries hits you off the bat. Some sweet malt aroma is also present. No hop presence to speak of.

T/M-Tastes a lot like the smell. Blueberries hit you off the bat and the taste changes to a balance between the blueberries and a sweet malty flavor. No hops present. The mouthfeel is a little watery and I feel like the carbonation is too high. It certainly tingles (almost burns) on the way down. This is more like a sparkling wine or champagne.

Overall....this is a good beer for those that like lighter beers or would like to try fruit beers. Wachusett makes some other great styles as well. Give them a try.

on tap at Redbone's bestowed by the beer wheel

Very pretty pale gold with creamy, fluffy white head that leaves lovely laddering on the glass.

Overwhelming blueberry aroma, and taste? Lemme guess: blueberry, blueberry, blueberry, blueberry...I want a bowl of Froot Loops.

Somewhere buried in there is a perfectly decent pale ale, with a light toasty malt and lemony hops that support the fruitiness quite well.

Thin-bodied with crisp carbonation.

Erm. Not for me, thanks. But if you like blueberry flavor without excessive sweetness, you might like this a lot.

Pours a hazed golden straw color with rush of soapy white bubbles, gone quickly leaving little behind. Scent is of moderate amounts of blueberry with a touch of lemon zest and tangy wheat. Taste follows scent components but comes across as lightly muddled... blueberry flavor is moderate and lacks a sharp fresh fruit punch. Lighter side of medium, quite carbonated. A disapointing blueberry beer that lacks an aggressive and fresh fruit profile, saved only by its decent base.
