The darkest beer we have ever brewed. A sweet, malty, full bodied, creamy rich flavored stout with coffee and chocolate tones.

Appearance: Pours out with an espresso color, the beige head building to two fingers; decent retention and very impressive lacing
Smell: Toasted brown bread, milk chocolate and coffee
Taste: Milk chocolate forward with toasted brown bread underneath; through the middle, the coffee tones emerge; the finish is surprisingly dry for the style
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I really like the dry finish of this milk stout; plenty of milk chocolate here and just enough coffee to make it interesting; the lack of cloying sweetness is where this beer shines

Wicked Big Can (32 oz Crowler) filled at the Wachusett brewery yesterday, this pours a very dark brown with mahogany to red color showing at the edges where light hits the glass and brew. It had a 2-3 finger foamy tan colored head that faded slowly with popping bubbles throughout, which then left spotty lacing and spotted rings as it went down.
Smells of lactose, chocolate milk, dark roasted malts, fresh ground coffee, heavy cream, some char and cocoa powder. Very nice and basic with all of the milk/sweet stout elements I hope to inhale. It switches between roasty and sweet, letting the roasted malt complexities keep you entertained with the variety.
Taste brings out lots a charred notes and smoked malts before shifting over to bakers chocolate, roasted grains, cocoa powder and light vanilla. The sweetness is tamed by the smooth roasty essence of burnt coffee grinds, cold coffee with half and half, bitter piney hops and lactose and/or chocolate milk. Super malty with nice char and enough sugar sweetness mixed in to make it easy to drink but still full of flavor; it never crosses over into too sweet or too bitter, this brew was done right.
Mouthfeel is (as expected) very smooth and creamy, with the beer sliding down like water. Light to medium bodied, very low and mellow carbonation, a thin feel and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Did I mention it was smooth and easy to drink....
Overall a very good milk stout that has enough roasted and charred grain notes to resemble a burnt coffee while keeping the chocolate malts and light hop bitterness intertwined and bringing out complimentary flavors. A real solid brew, worth seeking out.

L - Poured blacked with a thick, light tan head (which I swear had a heart at the top... should have taken a picture). Some carbonation in the head and fair lacing throughout the length of the beer.
S - Light roast/malt smell.
F - Light, smooth feel to the beer. No carb. feel.
T - Slight sweetness.
O - Wow. A nice, easy-drinking beer that I really enjoyed.

Unimpressive. Reminds me of a soft drink more than a beer.
