12oz can poured into a pint glass.

A: Golden-orange in color. Hazy. One inch of finely-bubbled white head holds fast. Minimal lacing, just a tiny spot here and there.

S: Melon, tangerine, mandarin orange. Soft pine needle aroma. Thin caramel and biscuit malt base. The nose pops nicely.

T: Melon, mandarin orange, orange glaze, apricot, earthy pine. Dry and biscuity grain base hints of caramel and perhaps graham cracker. Finishes with soft pine and a fruity, tropical hop medley that ends rather abruptly.

M: Creamy and rounded in the mouth. It is a touch watery, but not as much as some of its competitors. Seltzery carbonation gives it just enough texture.

O: Session IPAs are always a tightrope walk for me. Most lose their balance and fall flat because of the lack of body. This one achieves a nice compromise between flavor/body and the low abv. And of course it's easy to drink. It sits very lightly in the stomach. This is the best of the style I've had to date.

Appearance: 1 inch head, dark gold in color, medium-high carbonation, clear

Smell: earthiness and citrus fruits

Taste: caramel, earthiness and citrus fruits

Mouthfeel:slightly bitter, light bodied with high carbonation

Overall: A very refreshing, light and earthy IPA. The citrus hops are there, but the hops never overpower. Tasty, but may require a bit more hop power for those into hoppier IPAs.

Another great beer from Wachusett Brewing...This is a great beer if you want to have more than a few. Still has a great taste...it is just a little lighter than the Larry and the Monsta.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle that expires 4/17/15. Sampled on January 26, 2015. I'm not sure when they stopped brewing it but I found it in a new mixed 12 pack today.

The pour is golden-bronze with an off-white foam head that leaves since lacing behind.

The aroma has a modest floral and grassy hop note with toasted malts.

Medium body.

The modest pale malt note mixes well with the better than expected floral hop character. Definitely sessionable.

From the can, pours a hazy gold color with a foamy 2 finger eggshell colored head that was full of bubbles and faded very slowly, leaving realty good foamy lacing and rings as it went down.

Smells of citrus fruit, floral hops, lemon zest, citrus hops, biscuit, light caramel and sweet malt. Very basic IPA nose, but quite nice for a light IPA.

Flavor is a drop off from the nose, with biscuit, graham cracker and light piney notes mixing with the floral and citrus hops. The caramel disappears and the lemon retracts as the grains show up stronger. Seems like an English pale ale more than an IPA.

Mouthfeel is light and slick with mild carbonation, a medium body and a finish that has a little bitterness mixing with the light hops and decent malt base.

It started out strong but faded down the stretch becoming just an average beer that bordered on forgettable. Session-able yes, tasty not really.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light golden brown color, with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, light caramelized malts and fruity citrus.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong but not over-powering grassy hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is thin but provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.

M: Crisp and smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid and poundable IPA to drink for a long time.
