A: Opaque, mahogany reddish body with a thin, off-white head that leaves moderate lace on the goblet in which it was served.
S: Aromas of dark fruits and tart berries with bready malt and small hint of banana, raspberry and ethanol.
T: A touch of caramel with biscuity malt and a berry and raspberry fruit flavors. Spicy presence with clove, nutmeg, and pepper.
M: Medium body with mild carbonation.
O: A delicious offering that is very drinkable and worth pursuing.

Served in a tulip glass at the brewpub.

Pours.hazy dark, reddish-brown, with a thin and short-lived tan head.

Fruity and a bit boozy, with malt and a touch of yeast in the background.

Taste to is fruity, south plenty of plum and a light spiciness.

M: a tad thin but near medium body with god carbonation.

O: True to style, but lacks the richness and the complexity of a great Belgian dubbel. A nice, enjoyable version nonetheless.

taster - funky sweet finish...not sure I could drink more that a couple of sips.

Appearance: Opaque, mahogany-hued body with a very thin, near white head.

Smell: Caramel coated fruits of chewy, faintly tart berries with lightly toasty, bready malts, a small, small nibble of banana, a hint of spice, and a leisurely swig of liquor.

Taste: A spring of sweet caramel with modestly bready malts and a thick, crusty vein of cherry and raspberry fruitiness. Light pinches of nutmeg, ground cloves, and white pepper for some pressing spice accents. A little banana on the back end as the preceding fruits settle. Warming alcohol presence on the fruity, spicy finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Not heavy on the tongue, but there's a bit of stickiness present. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's a decent, fitting dubbel.
