Thanks to ballewblake for providing a bottle of this at our DFW tasting event last night.
Presentation: Poured from 330ml bottle into a snifter style glass.
A: This beer has a nice dark caramel color, but lacks any carbonation, head, or lacing whatsoever. The color makes up for it though.
S: Smells almost exactly like a Duchess de Bourgogne to me, but maybe a little less barnyard funk. Fruity and sour and well balanced.
T: Wow I was surprised how good this was. This smells like Duchess, but it certainly doesn't remind me of it in the taste at all. It's much better. One of the first sours I've ever had this beer gave NO evidence whatsoever that it was 13% alcohol. Reminded me of a balsamic vinegar without the acid.
M: Very undercarbonated it was also a little slick for my liking.
D: I could drink a couple of these without any issue despite the fact it is sour. I had absolutely no clue as to the high alcohol content, and neither did anyone else at our tasting. In fact we had to check the bottle again just to see if it was really 13%!

330 ml bottle, vintage 2007, kindly shared by Ole R. ABV is 13%. Deeep red colour, low tan head. Vinous aroma, notes of claret, red wine vinegar and barnyard. The flavour is (more or less) "typical Flemish Red", notes of red wine vinegar, some lemony notes, astringent finish. Moderate hops. The high ABV is extremely well hidden, I might have guessed that the beer was half as strong as it actually is.
