On tap at Les Brasseurs du Temps in Gatineau, QC.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This is a nice surprise- there's aromas of roasted coffee, smoke, tobacco, dark chocolate, bitter pine, and slight dried raisin.
There's a lot going on here for a fairly low ABV. It's very chocolatey, with a killer roasty and piney bitterness. There's a hint of dry smoke, very subtle but it works. There's some slight fruitiness, like dried raisins or plums, and a hint of leather/tobacco.
This is very creamy, with a surprisingly big body for only 5% ABV. It's certainly not thick, but it's still substantial.
This is a really drinkable and great stout- it's really well crafted in all aspects.

Excellent basic stout (guiness style). Aldo the Imperial stout from Les Brasseurs du temps is much better so if they are both available when I go there I will always go for the imperial insteas of the basic stout. Unfortunately it is not available in bottle yet.

On tap at the brewpub- Pours a deep cola, and has one finger of mocha froth. Aromas are roasted malts, coffee, some vanilla, slightly fruity, and also quite hoppy. Tastes quite hoppy, lots of coffee here, some dark fruit, and dark chocolate. Very dry with a medium body. Good stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Served pretty cold. Very dark with one-half inch of slight brown coloured foam. Spider lacey. Aroma of roasted coffee grounds. Unfortunately tasted the same, not complex. Carbonation above average.Average mouthfeel. Drying, particualrly as coffee grounds build up.

On tap at the brewpub: Poured a light dark color stout with a small foamy head. Aroma of light dry coffee and very subtle roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some light dry coffee notes and roasted malt which is pleasant but body is too thin for the style. Not bad but fuller body would have provided more enjoyment. Still early in the life of this brewpub so I will make sure to revisit at some point.
