Now here's something you don't find everyday, a bitter style lager from a large brewery in the Canadian Prairies--in a can at that. Even one of the guys at the liquor store I picked this up at praised it amongst its peers.

Quite nice looking beer in fact, pours out of the can a deeper clear gold than I was expecting, nice 2 finger head which didn't disappear in a puff of smoke either. Solid malt in the aroma, a faint trace of hops--however no off smells or stink from adjuncts or additives. The flavour is fairly mediocre, but far much better than the average run-of-the-mill macro, some small malt up front, some corn husks in the middle, and some bitter herbal hopping on the finish. For what it is, it delivers. The mouthfeel is fuller than the average macro as well, good body to it. If presented with a limited selection to choose from I'd pick this up again, but for the money I'd still pass it up for local craft beer instead.
