Poured into a tulip glass, produced a huge head of foam, showing really good retention. Clear light golden colour with a lot of visible carbonation.

S - yeast notes predominate with some sweet sugary notes, lemon balm, sourdough, pears, with some allspice, very interesting and dynamic nose, yeasty with a bit of spice.

T - firm start with barley malt and assertive yeastiness, florals, sweet candied notes, creamy, with oaty notes, pears, slightly smoky, with lactic yeast notes, lemony but not as much as the nose, this has a wonderful character, bright with citrus and florals and sweet caramel, but also a heavier yeasty body that compliments the creamy grainy mouthfeel.

M - delightful, a bit sweet but it is creamy and full and rich, carbonation is on the high side which is good. It is a big beer and that helps hide the strength, giving it a good drinkability.

Highly impressive tripel, flavours keep evolving and developing, this one certainly is very interesting. I find a bit too much of the sweetness shows initially but as the other flavours develop this becomes muted. Firm rich yeasty profile and a very nice balance of the chosen malts to give this a slightly chewy satisfying feel and flavour. Well done.

Deep aroma when first poured. Settled into a mellower "tripel" aroma: slightly pehenolic, with a good dose of hops and malt. Poured with a creamy head with lots of lace and a slightly cloudy yellow/orange color. Flavor was slightly sweet with a good balance of hops and acidity. Every sip seemed to reveal different flavors: sweetness, malt, acidity, alcohol and a hint of anise. Good carbonation with an effervescent and creamy mouthfeel that lingered for several seconds. Very complex, well balanced and drinkable. Excellent.

Poured from a 750ml green bottle. A little overflow after it was uncorked, this bottle might have been sitting around a while. No matter, its still tasty.

Looks a hazy straw yellow, and smells of apples and green grapes with a touch of spice. The spice expands on taste, as does the fruit here. This is one of those beers that amazes you at what a beer can taste like. Not overly sweet. I'd say its perfectly balanced. Give me more.

Poured from a bottle into a goblet

Pours a pretty pale gold iwht a decent long lasting head

Smell comes off a bit skunked but with spicy notes of clove and pepper

Alot like the nose with 0 skunk very complex everything comes in crisp and clean and all the flavors in all stages of the brew, spices corander, clove and a note of mint.

good feel in the mouth and going down medium body fantastic carbonation level.

this a triple that i would feel pretty spoiled having on a regular basis.

Received this bottle from a friend who brought it back from Germany. Poured into a Goblet.

A - Pours a lovely glowing gold with a 2-inch creamy white head that fades to a pillowy haze.
S - Sweet grain, bubblegum, Belgian yeast, candi sugar, coriander, clove, and orange peel. Wonderful smelling Tripel!
T - Not as flavorful as the nose suggests, but still quite tasty. Nicely spicy, the clove really pops, with more other the bubblegum, yeast, candi sugar, and coriander present as well.
M - Smooth and creamy, with a medium-full mouth-feel and crisp carbonation.
O - A superb Tripel, stands among the best!

Got his on draft at café in Westende Belgium. My kids are young enough not to be embarrassed by dad taking notes while drinking a beer. The wife is used to me being weird.

Served in a 33cl Karmeliet Tripel glass... ofcourse..

Looking goldesn yellow. Just a little hazy. Two fingers of thick wonderful foam.

Tons of spices on the nose combined with yeast, fruits like banana and some honey malts.

A bunch of honeylike sweetness on the first taste. Spicy peppery cloves, summer fruits... Wonderfully complex.

Medium body but a dry finish. The alcoholis present but not overwhelming.

Overall a great pick sitting outside this cafe ona nice summersday at the beach. Beer like this could pretty much work for any ocassion.
WONDERFUL!

Had this from the tap at The Yardhouse in Scottsdale, AZ. Came to the table with a minimal pale head. Hazy, golden color, left some lacing.

Typical funky belgian yeast smell. Coriander, spices, lightly roasted sweet malts. Slightly sweet, alcohol is not very detectable. A little low on the carbonation compared to other belgians, but may be related to the taps as the previous brew, which I had tried in the past had significantly less carbonation.

A very pleasant, drinkable, tripel. Nothing that stood out as exceptional, but nothing to point out as unpleasant. If you like tripels you will like this beer.

330ml Bottle poured into a pint because I am lame and am relativly new to most belgian brews.
Appearance: Cloudy golden yellow with a thick chunky white head. Carbonation runs rampant up the side of the glass. Nice lacing visible as well.

Smell: Aromas of malts and a sweet honey side to it as well. Possibly some fruity notes as well.

Taste: Wow, there is a whole lot of taste going on here. Let me attempt to explain. Fruity up front followed by very bready yeast and a great low key spiciness that adds to it's overall taste. Very good taste going on here, I am gonna need to try more of these things.

Mouthfeel: Very carbonated almost too much for my liking, but as it sits it becomes more drinkable for me. Goes down pretty smooth, light/medium bodied.

Drinkability: Very carbonated and leaves me with burps, hard to take a big sip, but other than that this beer is gold. Great taste, fun to figure out what exactly it is I am tasting here. Complex as it can get and I like it.

Great beer, try again and again. If I try more belgians, maybe this will have to be updated but until then... I drink.

Poured from bottle into chalice. Pours hazy golden color with big white pillowy head. Sweet floral and herbal odor. Amazing aroma with vanilla, alcohol and some aroma hop. Heavy sweet taste with some bitterness. Medium body with lively carbonation and creamy silky texture. Strong and long alcoholic finish with all the aromas which appears earlier. Fantastic beer!

Pale straw, ridiculously frothy initial head, leaves no trace a half hour later.

Coriander heavy in the nose, also yeast, alcohol, and lemon.

Clove, pepper, coriander, orange zest, slight alcohol note, dry finish. Nicely done.

Smooth with a full mouth feel.

This is what a tripel should taste like. Nicely done.

Quite a carbonated brew so much so that it produced a substancial head of fluffy white foam running out of the glass and onto my counter.
Hazy golden sunshine color.
Aroma was malty and tart smelling with green apples and spices.
Taste to me was borderline wit beer with the addition of bottle lemonn juice.
Drinks smooth and refreshing but do so cautiously because at 8 abv the alcohol is well hidden.
Hey, it's a good beer that drinks well.

This is a first rate Trippel and quite a treat. The beer pours a nice white head, plenty of fiz, with a nice herbal and floral smell. The beer doesn't lace, which is a bit surprising. The taste is just great. This is a medium to full bodied beer with lots of flavors in the citrus, banana, orange, rind, lemon family, and maybe more. There is a nice tingle on the tongue from the carbonation and the live yeast. The alcohol is present, and you would expect it from a beer with 8 ABV, but it isn't omnipresent. The only down side is that there is too much of a yeasty bite at the end. The aftertaste is pleasant. This beer makes a statement, and it is a fine one indeed. L'Chaim.

Sampled from a big 750 ml corked bottle. Pours a golden color, pretty clear not as hazy as I was expecting. Nice frothy head which leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is bananas, vanilla and maybe a little grassy or hay-like which remains nice even after the bottle breathes a while. Smooth, pretty easy drinking but with a full enough mouthfeel. The flavor is much of the same: citrus, banana, vanilla with a little bit of a tangy tart alcohol presence. Somewhat spicy flavors which balances it nicely. Flavor doesn't necessarily jump out at you but it's very good.

On-tap, served in a tulip

A hazy golden body with a thin, bubbly paper white cap. Delicate lace on the inside of the glass.

Fruity aroma of peaches, apricots, bananas, and tangerines. A playful yeast aroma along with honey and a candy sweetness with a light punch of clove.

Extremely clean body. Flavors follow the nose. Peaches, banana, apricots, green apple and tangerine. Spicy clove comes through the middle with an undercooked bread/yeast flavor.

Light body, very clean, creamy and smooth. Perfectly drinkable. Fruity and clean with the perfect carbonation.

Poured into a Chimay chalice from a 750. Straw yellow color with a good inch of white foam. Smell is wheat with a little lemon, not overwhelming. Taste is very smooth and balanced. Nothing really jumps out at me. A little citrus maybe. No alcohol taste which is pretty outstanding for a 8.5 ABV. Nice carbonation. Great medium mouthfeel. Overall this is a great, easy drinking beer.
