Poured into a Trappist glass. Initially a finger of head, quickly gone though. The body is clear, dark golden color.
It is very aromatic. Lots of dry grain and some of that (good) yeast smell.
The taste is amazing. Complex and balanced. A little lemon bitterness, lots of spice with a touch of honey.
The texture is light with the right amount of fizz.

Tripel karmeliet was amazing. Once poured into the glass from the bottle, the color was a great golden yellow with a nice short lasting head to it. The aroma was definitely fruity but not overwhelming. The taste was fantastic. Light and slightly fruity. Very smooth beer. Highly recommended.

On tap at Victoire in Rochester, NY.

Pours a hazy yellow into a snifter. 3 inch head, significant visible carbonation, decent lacing.

Smells like candi sugar, Belgian yeast and floral aromas.

Lots of tastes going on here. Belgian sweetness, floral tastes, spicy pepper, rose petals, bubblegum, alcohol.

Medium bodied, crisp, well carbonated. Alcohol is present making it a bit harder to drink. Must sip.

One of the better tripels on the market but not the best.

Tripel Karmeliet has a medium, fizzy, root beer-like, somewhat off-white head and a mostly clear, yellow-golden appearance, with lots of tight bubble streams and not much lacing left behind. The beer did not really cloud up when I swished & poured in the bottom contents. Aroma is of sweet, bready, grains, candied fruit, banana, sourness, a hop zing, and banana peel. Flavor is of banana, coriander, bread, sweetness, candied fruit, banana puree, some hop bitterness, and a background grain husk that one gets with a high-gravity malt liquor, such as St. Ides HG. I also noticed a metallic note in the foam, which was oddly reminiscent of Red Dog from a can. Mouthfeel is medium and prickly, and Tripel Karmeliet finishes mostly dry, crisp, champagne-like, and easy going. Although the alcohol does not present itself in the taste, I could feel it in my head with only half the bottle consumed. Overall, this is a most excellent and strange beer.
