A - Poured a clear brown color with a one finger off-white head of foam. It left little to no lacing.

S - It smelled of chocolate, roasted malt and floral notes.

T - It tasted of caramel, chocolate and roasted malt. It had a subtle bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp & smooth. A medium bodied ale.

O - This is a nice brown ale. Easy drinking and sessionable.

Pours a clear, dark brown color with a lighter amber along the bottom of the glass. 3/4 inch head of a pale tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of floral hops, slight sweet malt, and a hint of dark citrus. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of hops, roasted malt, slight sweet malt, slight citrus, chocolate, and slight yeast. Overall, a very hop-centric Brown that was very good. It is between this and the IPA as my favorite Highland offerings.

This American Brown Ale is just that - dark brown in the shaker pint with a smallish white head. But the aroma and the taste is where this one really stands out.

Rich and malty aroma, followed by the chocolate and toasted nuts flavor, ending with a well balanced kick of hop and bitterness. No real sweetness to begin, for me this could easily be a all night sipper (except those IPAs always draw me in).

Very tasty brew, not your average boring brown.

Poured into a pint glass.

A - Pours a dark brown with a very thin head and almost no lacing.

S - Nice roasted malt sweetness with some sweet chocolate hints. Very attractive and inviting.

T - This beer is very delicious and well crafted. Nice strong roasted character that is mellowed by some nice caramel and chocolate sweetness. At the end there is a nice dry and bitter hop finish that cleans the palate well. The flavors meld very well with nice transitions between teh strong roasted malt and the hops.

M - Light and crisp as expected. Very nice CO2.

D - Very refreshing and delicious beer. Lower ABV. Definitely a session beer.
