The colour is gold with a tint of amber, the liquid clear. The two-finger head is off-white and compact, it sinks slowly leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell is semi-sweet with some toffee, blackcurrant and a touch of prunes.
The taste starts with a passing clean bitterness that is followed by some sweet notes of ripe apples, redcurrants, apricots and some butterscotch. It is quite light; light to medium body. The short aftertaste got growing notes of apricot/peach, brown toast and some minerals. Toffee in the finish.
The carbonation is mild, the small bubbles are short-lived. The liquid is semi-smooth and a bit dry.
A nice and very English bitter. Not too much of anything nor any off-flavours. Could down a few.

Pours a dark amber with soft, fine head.
Smell is malty and floral with notes of citrus, caramel and a slight butteriness.
Tasty is crisp and floral with some sweetness from the malt. Notes of citrus, caramel and rye bread. Very refreshing with a solid, but soft bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, a bit undercarbonated. Probably going for a cask-feel.
Overall, a very nice pale ale, designed to pound down.
