It's got one trick but does it very well. Color suggests a very heavy body but in reality its pleasantly light and crisp. Still a malt bomb but pleasant hop/caramel notes on the finish. Superb!

Cask ale pumped a rich golden amber with a 1/2 inch of creamy tan head that recedes to a solid cap. Aroma of caramel and candy...trace toffee. Taste of creamy caramel...sweet full bodied.

Nice smooth bitter here(.5l bottle). Taste of toffee, aroma of butterscotch and caramel. Nice copper color with small creamy head. Mouthfeel hits the spot for this style. Imagine the tap variety would be a little creamier, but good effort here...

Fantastic example of an English Pale. Had on cask at a restaurant in Philly but it made me feel like I was at a pub in London. Earthy, bready, creamy and delicious.

This English Pale Ale is in a 500ml can, 5%
Not a bad beer. Surprisingly creamy with a fruity and hoppy taste. not strong. This is a beer I think would be good as a draft. Will have to look for it.

From Carrefour. In Ikea's pint glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 1x09. Drinkable. The taste is a bit rancid but not too much.

Have had on draft and usually expereinced poor head and dank dishwater appearance. Cans produce a better looking beer in my experience of this one

A weird musty smell. Not much aroma though.

Taste is always musty yeast, low level of bitterness and watery yeasty underwhelming "british pub bitter" flavour.

Overall I have had this many times and it is always underwhelming and bland with a sickly dishwater theme. A beer that steered me away from English ales and sent me towards Czech and German lagers in my twenties. It took the discovery of American style craft beers and Belgian ales to reawaken an interest in ales after this kind of dull fare put me off.
