A small and eclectic location with indoor and patio seating. Several decent European beer choices and an interesting food selection. Worth a visit.

This is the closest thing to a real German biergarten I've seen since my trip to Bavaria a few years ago. The food is decent but the beers are incredible. A great selection. In September of '09 they had Weihenstaphaner hefeweizen, Warsteiner lager, and Kostritzer schwarzbier on tap; in bottles they had DAB Original, a Kolsch, Erdinger hefeweizen, Erdinger dunkelweizen, Weihenstaphener hefeweizen, Aventinus, Schneider & Sohn Weisen Edel-Weisse, and EKU 28.

A great place to sit outside and enjoy a beer at some picnic tables. Bring your friends/family. They have indoor seating but it's not the greatest when you could be outside. Live music outside on Friday and Saturday night, at least in the summer.

The atmosphere was lovely. Small, quaint, fun, casual and unique. You can sit inside or outside. The outside seating overlooks a bustling downtown with big umbrellas and sturdy, wooden picnic tables and bar seating that wraps around the perimeter.

The establishment itself seemed to be of high quality. It was clean and neat. The facilities were clean. The construction/layout was clean, simple and organic. I believe it recently underwent a renovation.

It's the kind of place that takes your order at a counter and brings your food out to you and then leaves you alone. If you need something, you get up and ask for it. It's not full service. I find this preferable and more relaxing. The cashier was a delight. She was willing to offer the history of the establishment and explanations of the menu. You don't have to be a regular to get good service.

The beer selction is 100% German with 13 bottles and 3 taps. The beers are served in style-appropriate glasses. Some of the breweries represented were:
- Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu
- Erdinger Weissbräu
- Privatbrauerei Gaffel Becker & Co.
- Private Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH

I'm far from an expert in either German food or German beer, but it seemed excellent ... at the least, it was delicious. I had a Kebab mit Pommes (Doner meat over French fries, with a white, ranch-like sauce). It sounds horrible but I can't wait for my next chance to order it.

I'm cheap, so a "$$-reasonable" rating really means something coming from me. The prices ranged from something like $5-$9. The beers are priced in three tiers. I think the range was from $4's to $7's. The quantity of food that you receive is appropriate. Proportions are normal and appropriate (not American-sized proportions)

Loved it all the way around and I highly recommend it.
