Somebody's been doing their homework on Fuzzy Baby Ducks. It's slightly darker in appearance and doesn't match the pungency of FBD's aroma, but flavor wise this beer is very close to one of New England Brewing's best and most revered brews.

Hard to go wrong with a Citra single-hop IPA, and Long Ireland Beer Company doesn't... Dull orange-gold color with a cloudy haze and a few fingers of off-white foam on top... Presents a mildly dank citrus character, offering gentle citrus tones of fleshy fruits and semi-sweet pith... Sugars and bitterness are both moderate, body has some malty chew to it... While nothing over-the-top or game-changing, it is a delicious beer, soft and smooth and very drinkable. No canning date but presumably no more than a few weeks old...

Served on tap in a conical pint glass at Digger's Ales N' Eats in Riverhead, NY and again at CJ’s Grill in Mattituck, NY.
A: Slightly hazy dark gold to orange color. One finger, off white head with solid rings of lacing.
S: Mango, bread and pine predominate.
T: Follows nose, but with the addition of lime >> lemon, as well as a little bit of vegetable and yeast. Decent balance between flavor and bitterness, but bitterness wins out in the end.
M: Medium bodied, solid effervescence.
O: A nicely constructed American IPA.

Thanks to my brother Dan for hooking me up with this can. Drank it straight from the can and it smelled pretty hoppy from the mouth of the can with a lot of citrus and fruity notes. Flavor was full of citrus including strong grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, sharp piney notes, biscuit and a pretty high bitterness that came off like a red grapefruit. Pretty well balanced even with the higher level of bitterness, it went down smooth with an average feel, average carbonation and nice citrus notes as it finished. Solid beer, I'd definitely like to try it again.

tall can ($11.99 for the four pack) with canned on dating on the bottom (in cans a bit over 2 months, so not super fresh)
Pours heavily hazed, darker tangerine, nice looking off white froth and fluff, leaves a thicker collar, nice low sheeting and scattered fine fields of bits...nice looking brew
Tropical fruity nose, with pineapple, bananas, and assorted ripe fruits coming to mind
Citra hops flexing their muscles all over this one, with more pineapple, some grapefruit and fresh fruity goodness all over the palate...mighty tasty
All in all a delicious New England style IPA...citra hops doing their tropical fruity thing...
Well worth seeking out...hope to find an even fresher sample (4 pack at least) next time. Go get some
