12 oz. bottle poured into a glass tankard.

Appearance: It pours a hazy orange. Carbonation is pretty heavy. Despite the somewhat light color - I expected a deeper red - its color is very thick. I can't see through it at all. Lacing is minimal to moderate. Head starts off gigantic and recedes to about an inch, and to nothing after about eight minutes.

Aroma: Lots of caramel, toffee and maltiness in the nose. It's floral and inviting. Smells like something you'd want to drink.

Taste: We've got a winner. This is a really delicious beer - malty and full-bodied without pummeling you with alcohol. The flavors follow the nose, and it's very easy drinking. I haven't had a ton of domestic Irish Reds but I really can't imagine there are many better than this. Also better than the mainstream of American pale ales and amber ales.

Mouthfeel: Very easy on the palate and quaffable. Suitable for any weather, but I'm glad I had this on a grey, snowy day, because the smooth, easy-drinking character of this beer made for a good way to warm up.

Overall: You'd be pretty nuts not to seek this out if you're a fan of U.S. craft beer and love Irish reds. I had it with some BBQ tempeh, mashed potatoes and broccoli, and it was the perfect pairing. This beer is proof that American brewers can do cool things with fairly standard styles without resorting to mondo hopping or zany flavors. Would drink again.

Pours a murky lemon iced tea color. The off white head is short and wispy and settles into a light ring.

The aroma is bready with notes of caramel and honey. Not much else going on in the aroma.

The taste is bready with a caramel presence. Slightly bitter from some grassy hops. Brown sugar notes round out the sweetness. Some earthy notes to help balance.

The feel is moderate with tingly carbonation. Sweet on the palate with a grassy bitterness. Slightly dry in the finish.

Fairly standard amber/red ale. Not as dry as most which is nice. Decent flavors but boring.

The appearance is that of gun metal..rusty gun metal.
The 10 $ 24oz bottle was pricey, I picked it up because it is a local brewery.
I do like to sample locally.

The smell is of burned fruits

The taste is the best part. A bit smokey and burned, almost like a stout. But it goes down very easily.

Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth.

Overall a good pick and solid ale

Reviewing out of the six pack option.

Pours out dark amber with subtle head and lacing.

Smell is light and sweet.

Taste comes off the same with light tones and smooth sweetness. Very easy drinking and laid back and even a bit watery at times. Not the best amber ever but still a decent brew.

I love red beer and this one is pretty good... the best quality was its appearance which was beautifull. The smell and taste were okay, nothing spectacular in general but a great beer to bring by to drink with friends instead of bringing Miller's or Buds.
