Pours a dark and murky golden color, almost light brown. The cream colored head is short but dense and settles into a chunky ring. I would prefer it to be a bit clearer.
The aroma is of lightly dank hops. Some pine and light onion. Big bready malt aroma. Reminds me more of an olde school West Coast IPA or an East Coast IPA.
The taste is of a big bready malt. The hops are olde school dank pine and resin. Again, not sure that qualifies as current west coast. Not super savory so that is good but heavily bitter.
Moderate feel with soft-ish carbonation. Quite bitter and dry on the palate. Finishes astringent.
Its a bitter IPA. Olde school to back in the day craft was budding. I would not call this a west coast IPA.

Was not my favorite of the samples at the brewery. Excellent smell but honestly too hop forward for my taste. It was very good and left that crisp ".I want more " taste but not my cup of tea and I have tried beers with high 80 low 90 IBU's and better. I would not say don't try for a second cause you should.
