Had on tap at the brewery. A nice yellow-orange color with a fleeting head but plenty of lacing. The taste is a nice combination of malt with just the right amount of hopping. This is pretty much what I expect from a decent pale ale; nothing earth shattering, just a good drinking beer.

A: Golden orange clear filtered, highly carbonated, 2 finger slight yellow foamy head.

S: Chocolate, coconut, malt, sour Belgian style yeast but only slightly.

T: Malty, duvel type Belgian blue cheese like bite, a plasticy taste like in some heffe weisens, a dull bitter aftertaste, a yeasty aroma right before the finnish.

M: Medium slight syrup body with high carbonation.

O: Taste like my friend’s second home brew attempt. Good job, I’m proud I say. When I think of it this way I like it better. Fresh, got at Trader Joe’s Gainsville, FL and first drank in 2013.

Cocoa Beach Pale Ale came to me in a pint glass at the brewery, it is copper in color with an off white head. The aroma is nice and hoppy. The flavor has a nice hoppy character, the flavor tends toward pine tar without being overwhelming. There is a nice hoppy, dry finish. This is an enjoyable beer, definitely worth a try.

The Lost Spring Break Beer Review, Chapter 4

Bright amber with golden highlights. Small white head which might be damaged by hotel glassware.

Aroma of apricots and mango, with a hint of pine.

Solid deep caramel foundation. Some juicy fruit. Small bitter bite at the swallow.lingering bitterness. Very slight soap in the aftertaste. Needs a bit more hops to balance the malt.

Medium mouthfeel, mostly smooth with a little bit of bubbly.

A good enough pale ale for a vacation try.

[Suggested Glassware: Shaker Glass]

The pour was a cloudy medium yellow with a light reddish hue and a small (1 finger or less) white frothy head that was mostly lasting, eventually receding down to a thin film and possessed some good spotty lacing.

The aroma was of a grain malt, floral hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (orange).

The taste was lightly malty and bitter sweet with a hint of caramel from the onset, progressing with a mild citrus sweetness and a bitter hop finish. The flavor lasted an average duration with a fruity hoppy taste settling in on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was a few steps above light in body, watery and a tad dry in texture with a lively carbonation.

Overall a very good Pale Ale, which possessed a decent hoppiness that was set off slightly by a mild citrus sweetness...
