A slightly hazy golden colored brew. We used a combination of noble hops to bring in earthy and light citric hop notes. Belgian yeast notes, light spicy flavors, soft lightly sweet malts and a crisp dry finish. This is a favorite recipe and one that we’ve enjoyed cellared for up to two years.

The bottle is individually #'s?!? Bottle 336 of 552 Batch #1
Poured this into my wine glass and was greeted with a pillowy/fluffy white head about 2 ½ fingers thick. This gently faded to a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. The beer itself was a hazy dull golden/straw color. Plenty of rings of lacing remain.
The aroma was quite assertive and interesting. Lots of barnyard funk and earthiness. More than you typically see in a tripel. Reminded me a little of a Farmhouse ale in this area. Lots of spice and herbal notes present as well. Yeast, some grass and a touch of sweetness.
Quite a bit of spice and herbaciousness here. Almost a menthol quality. Light fruit along with pale malt and some spicy yeast notes including some clove. Finishes with some hop bitterness along with a dry feel. Not crisp, but rather dry. Seems to be refreshing enough... I keep typing and thinking that if I strictly review this based on style.... It doesn't quite fit. But it is pretty good and rather interesting.
** there was so much sediment at the bottom of the bottle it was wierd. The most I've ever seen.. By a long shot.
Slightly dry and powdery on your tongue. Light body with a touch of carbonation.
Well I enjoyed drinking this, but didn't think it totally fit what I expect from a Tripel. I enjoyed it, but it would never hit a list of my top triples. Interesting.

L: Pours gold with a slight haze, very finely bubbled 1” white head with excellent lace. S: Has the Belgian yeast nose with fruit and traces of over ripe fruit. T: Fruit, bubblegum, light banana and peach with earthy hop aftertastes. F: Very smooth and very creamy body produced with a very fine soft carbonation. O: A good Belgian Tripel.

a - poured a three fingers thick off-white head into a tulip glass that left good sheeting throughout. the body was a bubbly gold color. i would have liked a brighter color and some lacing with this.
s - apples and pears with a hint of belgian yeast.
t - same as aroma with a little graininess.
m - thin, carbonation not very lively.
o - has potential but really missing the things that make tripels special.

Bottled July 27, 2010, batch 3, 22 oz bottle.
Pop the cap and foam quickly gushes from bottle. Pours a sickly, pale straw golden color with a thick, but quickly dissipating bone white head. Slightly sour nose of band aids and white board cleaner with a touch of spice and peach syrup. Flavor of bubblegum, pear, banana and white pepper, finish is extremely anti septic and slightly tangy. Over carbonated, fluffy buddy, plain awful aftertaste.

Bomber bottled in Sprong 2013
A- Cloudy golden color with a nice white head. I suppose this is what a Belgian should be colored.
S - Spicy, belgian type aroma.
T - Pretty decent taste, crisp, sweet belgian flavor with some alcohol warmth.
M - Flavorful
O - Not crazy about belgian style beer but this one is not bad. I would recommend.

My bottle was labeled January 2011, batch two. Loud pop when I took off the cap. Poured into a Belgian-style chalice. Huge white head forms on top of a golden colored body. Very impressive look. Smell was spicy like lemon zest. Taste was impressively Belgian, with an American twist. It had a nice sweet sugar flavor, but finished with a hop bite at the end. Mouthfeel was crisp yet luscious. Really liked this beer. One of the best tripels from the US I have had in a while.
