Very Good
Taco Truck LagerTaco Truck Lager
Notes: This easy-drinking light lager has a nice mild character. Two-Row pale malt and the use of flaked oats and white wheat give the beer a clean, crisp character with a little sweetness, light body and smooth mouthfeel. Very low bitterness. Easy drinking and satisfying!

Look: Very hazy, yellow. Not at all what a Mexican style lager looks like.
Smell: Sour grain, mineral water.
Taste: Tastes like an AAL but then there’s a sour quality that hits you on the backend.
Mouthfeel: Heavy, feels thick and clings to your mouth. Weird.
Overall: Big waste of money. It’s a gimmick, like the tourist trap restaurants on the river walk in San Antonio. Avoid......

Gold with a medium white colored head.

Smells of noble hops from a distance. Smells of hay and a bit soapy. Scent of lager malt and a soda cracker scent. It is significantly malty from a distance.

Starts out very malty. Very yeasty and bready flavor. Hops are very grassy. Much more flavorful than any mass produced Lager.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall much more flavorful than pretty much anything from Mexico. Quite good.

Ok this is just an amazing surprise. Did not expect such a treat when I bought this, but c'mon... Taco truck? It's nature's perfect food, made into a beer!

No lager I've had ever looked better. Poured straw yellow, crisp and clear, with a massive head that lasted and left a creamy thick cap and sticky lace more reminiscent of a tripel or Belgian pale ale than anything you'd expect to be associated with tacos.

Grainy, a bit grassy, with some dry biscuit and a lovely hops crispness.

Wonderfully complex and multi-dimensional, I would even venture into the realms of transcendental for this beer.

Definitely an amazing choice for street tacos, whether asada, picadillo, fajitas, guisada or carnitas.

Canned 6/4/20. Pours a pale-ish yellow with a blonde hue. Light and doughy upfront with a smidgen of hop presence. Crisp, sweet malt dominates the taste with the hops showing up toward the back. Sweet and bitter finish are reminiscent of others in this style. It could be my go-to for tall can lagers but the price is too high to justify it. This would pair well with your food I suppose. Check it out.

A phenomenal lager! Oats, honey, wheat. A kiss of vanilla. Floral hops. Chewy mouthfeel with a clean finish. This beer is everything beer has been meant to become.

Straw filtered with no carbonation and 4 fingers of white head.

Smells of malts, hay, and children's aspirin.

Tastes of malts, slightly tart, with a dough yeast finish.

Light body with little carbonation.

Got this in Sacramento, drinking it Redding, Sept 17th, 2018. Decent and corona like.

Very nice taco beer. More taste, smell and feel than any XX, Corona, and Modelo, while not costing much more. This goes really great in the Summer with some ... tacos. Drink it for what it is, and you will not be disappointed.

Pale straw yellow, full head. Good lacing.
Smells like grain. Simple but solid.
Lemon, grain, sweet malt finish. Good flavor, again simple but the light lemon is a welcomed touch over a good foundation.
This beer shines a bit in the feel. It's a bit creamy but also light.

I would happily grab this for a lager type day. Very approachable and would gladly hand this to someone in place of a PBR.

Light, Soft, Crisp, Clean

Pale golden with thin white head and herbal and floral aromas. This approachable beer from Dust Bowl is crisp, creamy, and light bodied. White bread, a touch of sweetness and herbal flavors go down easy, while a splash of lemon livens things up. The finish is very clean and dry with soft notes of herbs, pith, and rind. Taco Truck Lager is an insanely crushable lager. The only thing that's missing here are the tacos.

As reviewed in BeerAdvocate magazine #118 (November 2016).

Poured from a bottle into a room-temperature Mason jar.
A: light amber, little head which fades fast, minimal lacing
S: lemony hops, grain, one-dimensional aroma, not complex but pleasant, a bit of pine
T: mild light citrus hops, light grain, slight pine, mildly better finish, astringent and not totally pleasant
M: thin, light carbonation
O: refreshing, not complex, the astringency builds as you sip, I wouldn't ask for a second one. HOWEVER, this is an awesome brewery with many fantistic offerings including Son of Wrath, Therapist, and Black Blizzard.

Pours a nice amber colour with a slight head, looks very much like a typical Mexican lager, although this one is brewed in Turlock CA. Smell is slighty floral, very crisp. Taste very smooth, not hoppy, not malty, very enjoyable but nothing to really make it stand out from other higher end American pilsners. I would still say this is a great hot summer day beer and at 4.7 abv you won't overdue it if have more than a couple. Prost!

A light golden yellow color with a white head. The head has poor retention, typical for this style. The beer clarity is clear with a good amount of carbonation.

The beer is grainy, grass, light perfume and floral.

T: The beer is grainy grassy, with light perfume and floral notes.

M: Carbonated, crisp, and clean.

O: This is like a Budweiser but with flavor. It is a good beer for a nice hot day or for a backyard BBQ.
