Received this malt bomb in a trade today . . . Honestly, it may be an ok ipa fresh but not 8 months later.
Bottled 4/22/16
Drinking 1/15/17
By this point it is only an ipa according to the label.
My fellow BA's, do not send 8 month old ipa's to your trading partner. Do not even send 2 month old ipa's to your trading partner. Cheers !

On tap at BC's Pizza & Beer

A: Pours deep golden amber with a frothy egg shell white head that settles to a nice layer and leaves plenty of beautiful lacing.

S: Floral, light citrus, fruity notes, pine, bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Floral, kinda spicy, grapefruit, pine, bready malt, a touch of caramel sweetness, and some fruity notes on the back end.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: The first IPA I ever drank way back when. Not the best, but still solid. Fun to look back and see how my palate as changed over 600+ beers.

On-tap at Jake's Cannery Bar, San Francisco, CA

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles and a coating of bubbles running down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops and cough syrup are present in the nose.
T: In the initial taste, the immediate flavor I got was cough syrup—the kind of medicine that you cringe at taking when you are a child.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer lives up to its name and has rather unpleasant flavors of cough syrup,
