Notes: Vlasimir P is a Triple Russian XXL Imperial Stout
-a whole new beer category, Brewed with infinite respect for the popular president, who commits all his energy towards implementing unpopular decisions. This is attributes the world population generally misses in a politician. But also the high degree of empathy that is shown when the minority has to be protected. The way he determinedly annexes areas with minorities that shows sympathy for the charismatic leader. Just as he protects the small minority of the nation’s own men who think better of other of the nation’s men than they seem on Petrushka and Varushka. Usually a little time behind bars helps with this misunderstanding. The western politicians could surely learn something from mr. Putin, That is probably why they at the moment are so furious.
Vladimir P is a natural successor to Tsarina Catherine’s favorite Russian Imperial Stout at 8.2% from Hornbeer. It is now 100 years ago, roughly. She was not exactly known for her democratic inclinations. Was a little cold, choleric and calculating. But if she could drink a Russian Imperial Stout, then now it must be time for a Triple-Russian XXL Imperial Stout at 12%

Black in color. Tan head that fizzles down.

Roasted with some coffee notes. Lots of caramel and chocolate. Rich. Dark fruits. Molasses.

Full bodied with a little alcohol showing.

This is a solid ris. Not sure what makes it 'triple' however.

L - pours dusty dark brown with a massive dark-coffee head. Low retention.
S - roasted coffee, bitter dark chocolate.
T - sweet, with a touch of coffee and dark chocolate but very boozy. Aftertaste is bitter which is not very pleasant.
F - Full-bodied, low carbonization.
O - Not better choice if you'd like to taste really good RIS.

500ml bottle best before 10.11.2024

A - pitch black with faint deep brown edges. On top broods a mocha head that settles to a slight cap

S - sweet booze, wax, fresh soil, hints of roasting coffee. Overall a bit muted, even at room temp and I'm wondering if, like Putin himself, there's a flaw in this one

T - booze is less detectable up front, but clamours in with strong bitterness in the finish, bits of chocolate, liquorice and coffee through the middle

M - full, but somehow unsatisfying, especially as bitterness barges in toward the finish

O - nice notes here and there, but a few strange ones spoil the show. The mouthfeel is smooth and round, but the bitterness bites too hard.
