500ml. Wine glass. Enjoyed on mar´13. Deep amber color & cloudy appearance. Yellowish crown shows fairly good retention. Aromas of crystal malts, brown sugar, molasses & alcohol, herbal – anise & cumin- & floral hues, figs & orange peel to the nose. Gentle toasted malts at first sip followed by kind sugary sensation. Full body. Moderate to soft carbonation. Oily texture. Low hoppiness in the middle. Ripe berries & ripe fruit are shown & lingered into a fruity finish. Sweet fruity aftertaste with brandy & woody notes. Cloying sugar aromas & flavors.

Pours a crystal clear ember color with a big, froth, bubbly head.
Smells pretty hoppy, even after cellaring this for a year, featuring wet leaves and a beautiful, toffee coated ripe orange note. Has sugared fruit candy qualities among its profound toffee maltiness, together with a whiff of rock sugar, gently coated by the leafes.
Has a soft, yet vivid carbonation, building a great gateway for the bitter, hop forward finish, calming the otherwise present, sweet malts.
Tastes of dried leafes and fresh cut grass straight from the beginning, gently balanced by sweet toffee malts, without loosing a sharp, dry bite which stays on the palate till the end. Provides a great, intense interplay between bitter and sweet, which remains utmost interesting and inciting on the palate, mixing a dry lemon peak with flower coated, sugar accompanied malts. Finished clean with fruity orange and citrus peel, enhancing the already established hop dryness, which now dominates the malts easily, allowing them to add an enriching sweetness.
While not overly complex, this provides a steamlined, intense flavor profile, perfectly finishing with an aggressive, contrasting hop bite, allowing the malts to cut through in all its facettes.
