Poured from 22oz bomber into glass. Nice dark color, solid head that lingered. Nice even pumpkin and spice up front, clean finish. For the price, nothing else out there.

22 oz bottle served in a Max Lager glass. Pours nears black with a very durable tan head. Exceptional lacing.

Delicious, bready aroma with a very fine mix of spices. The flavor follows but is not quite as enticing. The flavor contains notes of oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, baked pumpkin, faint ginger and brown bread. Lightly sweet but leaves an overly bitter (given preceding flavor) aftertaste.

Feel: full and creamy smooth body with excellent, soft medium+ carbonation.

Overall: a pleasant surprise, this is one of the very best pumpkin beers I've had.

This beer poured a nice dark brown, almost black. The head was a thick light tan.

There's a lovely roastiness to the smell, but ultimately gingerbread & vanilla notes prevail with some clove and nutmeg coming trailing through.

This beer likewise has a great roasty taste upfront that is tempered and smooth. The gourd is present is this one. It's not just pumpkin pie spice dumped into a stout. The beer has a solid pumpkin base on which the spices sit, which to me is always the mark of a good pumpkin beer. That's not to say the spice is not present, or even muted. There's strong vanilla and gingerbread notes in here, but it works well in concert with the roastiness of this stout. The creaminess from the oatmeal gives it great body and almost desert-like qualities.

I really liked this beer and as a pumpkin oatmeal stout, it definitely delivers a great fall afternoon sipping experience. Not a thing to quaff, as it begins to get a little cloying, but a great one-offer to top off an October afternoon.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is black with a small tan head. The aroma is malt and pumpkin with spices. The taste follows the nose. A very good pumpkin beer.

Pours a deep chocolate brown with just a touch of light seeping through on the edges. Head is approx. 3 fingers with a medium strong pour and is fizzy and light tan in color. Head dissipates quickly, leaving a light, creamy film on the top of the beer and a small amount of clingy lacing.

Aroma is amazing, with a great slightly roasted pumpkin smell coming through and a very small touch of spice. Also getting a touch of molasses and sweet biscuits.

Taste, at first is of fresh pumpkin, maple syrup and dry spices. Nicely done, but unfortunately as this beer finishes on the palate, the bitterness from the spices take over and leave a bad bitterness in the mouth.

Overall, this beer would have rated much higher if it weren't for the slightly unpleasant bitter aftertaste..

22oz bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours deep black color with a small khaki colored head that leaves some nice lacing behind

S- aroma consists of pure gingerbread cookies, with undertones of chocolate, caramel, brown sugar & molasses. Also picking up notes of cinnamon & nutmeg

T- lots of ginger up front that brings flavors of gingerbread, nutmeg & clove. Undertones of toasted malt and chocolate. The finish brings flavors of graham cracker and toasted malt

M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp Gibson

O- drinks more like a gingerbread stout but very tasty

22 ounce bottle, label says 7.9% ABV. Not sure of the age, but I think it's a 2016 bottle since it just showed up at my local store over the past few weeks. Served in a Spiegelau stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with a couple inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like pumpkin spices (nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon), roasted malt, and chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some graham cracker and clove flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I think it's a pretty good pumpkin stout, I know I'd like to buy this again in the future. $8.99 a bomber.

Buffalo Bill's Black Pumpkin, oatmeal stout. 7.5% ABV.

A: Holy crap! Over 3 fingers of tan head. Black in the glass; golden brown in the dimple. Light sheeting. Decent lacing.

S: Nice toasty, caramel-y, brown sugary pumpkin aroma.

T/MF: A little soft on the palate. Deep roasty flavor, with a good amount of pumpkin stem. A lot of char. Unfortunately, it is completely unlike the aroma.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.

Poured it into a pint glass, the head wasn't huge, but it was very dark, something I tend to enjoy. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste like pumpkin. It tastes like hella spices. Is that a bad thing? In my case, I thought it tasted like too many spices. It looks great, smells great, the feel is great, but I couldn't get into that overly spiced taste. I'd drink it again, but not a 22oz.

A new favorite pumpkin beer. I just might have to pick up another bomber or two because it was THAT good. This beer definitely has all the things you want in a stout - roasted, nutty, chocolate flavors without being overly sweet. This beer was actually a bit on the drier side which is actually a good thing. So take all of those awesome stout things and now add pumpkin spice. It's almost like drinking boozy, chocolate, pumpkin oatmeal.

Poured into a Teku completely black. Outstanding balance, respectable smell with dominant notes of pumpkin and oatmeal. The pumpkin flavor was more than subtle, but did not dominate over the other flavors. I wish I had bought a 2nd for cellaring, I would like to have the 2015 next to the 2016 next year..,

This is better than Buffalo Bill's regular "Pumpkin Ale" in my opinion. I love a good dark beer and this is a good stout made even better with the pumpkin flavor. They didn't overdo the spices and this has a nice silky mouthfeel.
Pours looking like a stout and then you get a whiff of toasted malt and pie spices. Taste is light pumpkin with some spice and malty sweetness. Then the drying bitterness from the stout comes through. Love the blend in this and it's not an $8 bomber= excellent value.

Dark brown with a ruby tinge when held to the light, topped with a finger of beige head.

Smells of pumpkin spice, and vanilla.

Tastes of pumpkin spice, vanilla, and overall a lot like a well toasted pumpkin pie.

Medium, syrupy body, with moderate carbonation.

Got this in Sac, drinking in Redding, Oct 22nd, 2018. Excellent brew.
