Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Reviewed live.

A- Three finger mocha head. Low retention, but peaked lacing. Brown and murky.

S- Roasted malts, chocolate and definite blueberry. Nice smelling.

T- Acrid, chocolate, blueberry and some sourness. Not bad, but not something I'd like to drink a lot of.

M- Fizzy carbonation. Not a good feel.

O- Smells good, but the rest is forgettable or just bad.

Appearance - Pours a deep, dark cordovan brown with a light tan 2 finger head. Average retention. Lacing is spotty with little stick.

Smell - Prominent blueberry aroma, overpowers much of the underlying stout character. Hints of oat, and even a touch of wild yeast character, slightly sour and funky, not unlike what you'd find in a belgian or wild ale.

Taste - Follows the nose. Strong blueberry and a funky sourness hit first. Moderate malt roastiness comes through mid-taste, hitting on burnt toffee, then finishes with a strong grassy bitterness that lingers well into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with a smooth, creamy profile. Goes down nice and easy.

Overall - A bit too much blueberry, not enough stout flavor for my liking. It's drinkable, but can get a bit too sweet with so much blueberry flavor dominating the profile.

Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, alcohol, and an artificial blueberry aroma. Taste is much the same with an alcohol kick and a fake blueberry flavor that is slightly medicinal. There is a mild roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer that is drinkable but the blueberry presence is not very well done.

A: Dark cherry maple tones. A deep, rich center. Solid half inch khaki head immediately after pour; fades down quickly with heavy lacing. Beer itself looks a little thin.

S: Heavy blueberry filled the area when I popped the cap. Strong oat scents once poured, but oddly, no blueberry hints.

T: No blueberry! What happened?! Heavy caramelized malts, baked oats, and frontal alcohol. Reminiscent of a bitter English Dry Stout.

M: Very thin. Hops leave slight tingling on the tongue.

OVERALL: It's a decent hopped out Brown Ale, but far from an Oatmeal Stout. I felt a little ripped off due to the lack of blueberry on the palette. If you're looking for a great blueberry stout go with Tres Blueberries by Dark Horse. Buffalo Bill's version is just too thin and too misleading for me to give it a thumbs up. On the bright side, the bottle was cheaper than dirt and the ABV is 7.5%, so I'm digging a buzz.

NOTE: Live review.
