This is a nice restaurant/pub located near the University. The main attraction is their delicious thick crust pizza and eats, but they also have some decent brews available for beer lovers to fall back on. Usually a pretty busy place, it's good to get a seat outside on the large patio, as long as it's not 105 degrees outside. They even bring TV's outside so you can watch the game. The service can be a bit slow when busy, but overall it's decent.

They have quite a few drafts, alot of it typical offerings, but at least they carry a few local microbrews like Oak Creek and Four Peaks, and west coast stuff like Stone IPA and Arrogant Bastard. Nothing here is rare or too hard to find though. There is a menu of bottled beer also, mostly imports- staples like Sam Smith's, Duvel, Chimay, Celebrator etc.

Overall a solid hangout if you are in the area. Go for the pizza or burgers, and have a decent brew to go with it.

Went out on the town in Tucson. A friend knew my love for beer and so recommended the Frog.

The atmosphere was awesome for me. Happy, but fairly quiet people enjoying beers and wines in a mock-up of an English pub. My friend remarked "this is the quietest I've ever seen it!" I guess that happens the day after Thanksgiving.

Quality of beer was good. The beer list wasn't exhaustive but it was quite nice.

Service was a little surly, but quick and efficient,so I can't knock it too much.

Selection, as I said before, was alright. Close to 30 beers on tap and many more in bottle.

Unfortunately the kitchen had closed so I couldn't try "the best fries in Arizona."

An old watering hole of mine during my college days that is situated right off University Blvd and right across the street from Gentle Ben's brewery. Food is pretty good - I like their cheese fries and deep dish pizza. They have good waitstaff and most of them are college students trying to make a buck. This place looks like a former adobe-turned restaurant. The highlight of this place is the large outdoor patio that is open all day/night long and they have a band playing usually on the weekend nights. It is very small and crowded inside. The pub/brew offerings are traditional English fare. Brew selections are quite quaffable and predictable along with a couple local offerings and west coast beers.

A wide street level patio was surrounded by an iron fence with an opening in its center that led to a concrete path up to the porch, which also had seating. Entering, the snaking, laminated driftwood bar was to the immediate left with two sets of taps, each constructed to look like a bulging wooden barrel, each holding 12 tap lines as part of the back bar. The kitchen was aft behind the bar. The liquor selection seemed high-end with a focus on whiskeys. To the right were a green-felt pool table, a high circular table with chairs, and a Golden Tee machine. Further aft, up a short pathway were the lavs left and a bunch of standard restaurant tables and chairs. No less than three (3) marginally beer-oriented people recommended it, plus the clientele were great, plus the name. Trump that!

I ate Yellow (potato) Skins as a much-needed snack.

Beers: 25 drafts w/13 quality, including 2 New Belgian, 1 Full Sail, SNPA, 1 Pyramid, 1 Widmer Bros, 14 Peaks.

Bottles - 56 w/41 quality including Duvel, 2 Lindeman's, 2 Chimay, 2 Fuller's, 5 Sam Smith's, 7 German, including Celebrator, Optimator and Salvator.
