Floral, hoppy and bitter, as a Bohemian Pils should be. Nice soft mouthfeel aswell, with some metallic edges. Quite subtle ina lot of ways and pretty simple, but very enjoyable, and entirely downable, really nice bitterness on the finish, dry finish.

It's a while since I had a Czech pilsner...this one I never heard of before, until now. I covered previous scores and reviews, so as not to be affected by other reviews. Actually I drank it in Kyiv, on the day that Russia were supposed to invade according to the US media, in Kyiv's most famous bomb shelter bar.

Quite dark for a pilsner, beautiful foamy head. Much more aromatic than a typical German pilsner...beautiful hoppy, bitter aroma. A little bit tropical...I'm getting mango and passion fruit.

Totally unique flavour...wow. Like a breath of fresh hair in comparison to recent German and other pilsners I have drunk. The taste is difficult to describe. It's kind of like bitter sponge cake, with strawberry jam on. Yet bitter, not sweet. Difficult to describe and definitely unique.

Mouth feel is quite heavy...bitterness seems to give way to sweetness, which is the opposite of most beers, not particularly complex however.

It's difficult to review because it's so unique, I feel like I will need to drink this at least a couple of times to truly appreciate it. Or to not appreciate it ; ) As it warms up, more levels of bitterness and taste also emerge from the ethers. Bitter strawberries seem to be dominating my taste buds.

I think it tastes better slightly warmer than a traditional pilsner. In fact it reminds me a bit of some English bitters, which are usually served at just below room temperature.

I do like this. It's really tough to review. The hops and bitterness are mega unique and my mind is a bit confused, I will definitely buy a few more bottles of this.

Color is a perfect medium amber. Smell slightly hoppy and metallic. Taste is great slightly sweet at first then turns to the bitterns of a Pilsner. All of the the taste buds are at work on the pallet. Over all a very good beer. Highly recommended.

With its classy pop-top, this seems to be a classic of the style... but not much better than today's average.
It is a good-Looking pils with an orange-ish tinge to the yellow clarity. Smells are classic of malts and Czech hops. It is hard for me to get excited about the Taste because the hops for me are too strong. Also, too dry in the mouth to enjoy with food.

On the list of "1001 Beers To Drink Before You Die", the list would be better without it. Bernard has poor distribution in the U.S. and there are plenty of Bohemian pilseners on the list than to also have this Bernard that is only average in Taste.

Pours a clear light copper/orange color with minimal lacing.
Smell is pilsner. Straw and grass with a few floral notes.
Taste is malty and copper/metallic.
Finishes bitter and slightly spicy.

Wow, what a color for a lager - or I wanted to say, for a LEZÁK, because that's what we got here ladies and gentlemen, a real Czech lezák. I heard about and drank Celebration Ales but never a Celebration Lager so I'm overwhelmed how good a Czech beer can be! Truly (Czech) hoppy in both the nose and the taste, and I'm emphasizing "Czech hoppy" here because the Saaz/Zatec hops are one of a kind, and even if they are used anywhere else in the world, they never taste this good as they do here in the Czech Republic, in Czech Beers. I am happy for its hoppiness, even for its slightly dry hop bitterness - because all is SO CZECH. Damn.
All the hops and the malts in this beer just reminds me of the breweries in Prague where they brew the beer right in front of you, where you soak all the raw hops and malts into yourself and enjoy their freshness like nowhere else! The pearls of smooth natural carbonation running along the side of the glass make the beer feel so typical Czech, so easy to drink and the flavor is just inimitable.
Unfortunately my limited knowledge doesn't let me express the greatness of the Czech lezáks, all I can say that it is worth to try this beer. This is no mistake a Cebration beer, it is a celebration of the greatness of Czech lezáks, Czech hops and good beer. Wish this glass would never end!

Clear amber colour. Bittering hop aromas and lager yeasts. Light pale malts, light bitterness, a little sweet but overall underwhelming and average. A very easy drinker, goes down sessionable. Clean and well made. Clean water. Bit of a cling/coating on the palate.
