Nice place, food was good but pricey. Good service, free samples. Offers growler fills and combo specials. Convenient location. Lots of rotating handles, so check back often

My wife and I visit this Iron Hill location on a monthly basis. The food is consistently good but the beer selection is top notch. I always like to try the cask selection and this past time it did not disappoint. The McMaster is always a favorite but recently I have been engrossed in their IPA varieties. I have waited for a full year of visits to rate this establishment and their beer selection is enough of a reason to go back again and again.

Odd little industrial park like building, unassuming from the outside. Enter to a large bar area to the right, the bar itself is moderately sized but lots of high top seating, somewhat cramped. Were sat in a non-nondescript center room at a four-top, despite lots of available booth seating along the entire left side. Some of the tables were actually plastic folding tables with black table cloths - I may have walked out if that's what i was seated at. Lots brick, dark wood, copper, metal and overall industrial feel. Brew house in the rear and long open kitchen on the right hand side behind the bar.

Iron Hill always has a nice mix of styles between their regular and seasonal beers. Regular beers tend to be a bit lighter for the masses, while some bolder options exist on the season side. Some seasonals this time included 2-3 big IPAs, an Oatmeal Stout, and a pilsner. All beers very fresh and constructed well. $5 for a regular brewpub pint is about a $1 higher than expected, $6-$7 for a seasonal also seams pricey. Did not check the bottle list this time.

Food was fantastic, great appetizers and burgers this time around. Expansive menu for a bar, so most is probably massed produced, but done perfectly.

Service was a bit off. Took 10+ minutes to place a drink order. Pacing of order was slightly off and server kept clearing unfinished plates. Server was friendly though.

All in all, have visited a few of these locations and have noted how each new location becomes bigger in size than the others, but the emphasis always shifts from the size of the bar area to the size dining room. Still solid - would recommend. While the beers were a bit better, overall id rank it right behind the Chestnut Hill and Wilmington locations.

Dinner at the bewpub while staying in nearby Cherry Hill, NJ. Very nice set up and experience.

Bright, airy, open room with lots of tables and a long bar. Lively ambience, fun vibe in the room for a Tuesday night. Lots of tables, but didn't feel like I was on top of anyone.

Great selection of beers. A standard 5 that seemed to be always on draft, along with several seasonals. Overall i think I had 10 to choose from. Sampler was available. I had an amber ale and a the porter - both very good. Also a board in the main room detailing what is on the way (fermenting, aging, etc)

Food was very good. Extensive menu, lots of choices, big and small. I went simple, but certainly had lots to choose from. All were pleased with their food.

Definitely recommend.

This is a big place, but still gives a commitment to service. Largest Iron Hill I have seen. Tons of special edition bottles to bring home. I was impressed. Local offerings on tap were OK, including the seasonals, though the seasonals are often interesting and plentiful. Decent prices for taps. Bottles are on the pricier side, that’s PA, and Iron Hill. Growler fills available. It was lunchtime so it was busy. Normally I prefer a smaller place, but this is a good stop and certainly the best in the area.

I went on a Wednesday at around 4pm. It was very slow when I got there which gave the server a lot of time to describe all of the different characteristics of the beers available. He was very knowledgeable about what they had by name without reference. Like he honestly enjoyed the beer there or just had a great memory. If you haven't been there the sampler is definitely worth getting. As of this review the sample is 'house' or 'seasonal.' House will get you everything from the house menu + 2 seasonal and seasonal will get you everything on the seasonal menu.

The beers have a wide variety of flavor and the names are almost useless. You just have to taste them. I was disappointed they didn't have any stouts because of the warm seasons, but the Pig Iron Porter was great.

The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh. We were remarking at how even the sauces that came with the appetizers were amazing. Try the 'eggroll sample' perfect size for two people. The sheer variety on the menu is astounding, it will take you a while to choose. Can go from simple burgers to charred beef tartar to pacu fish ribs.

It gets very very busy after 5 every day. Get there early or make a reservation.

This may be my new favorite place.

On the way to Philadelphia, the wife and I stopped at Iron Hill Maple Shade. What a cool place this is!

Busy on a Saturday at noon sharp, with all the booths taken by large groups of large people drinking beer... NOT. WTF! I guess they're here for the food.

We sat at the high-top tables between the bar and the booths and I was amazed by all the beers listed on the wall. This is how I like a brewpub to be! Lots of seasonals and one-offs, not just the regular lineup. Here you'll find 5 house brews plus 6 seasonals, a nitro and a cask.

The nitro (which I had) was "Half Caff", their "Luca Brassi" stout aged on Sumatran coffee beans minus the cold-press coffee. Their cask was "Decaff", or "Luca Brassi" minus the coffee.

Also St Modestus (a Weizenbock), Belgo Black (a Belgian porter), Bravo! (single hop), Quadfather, Kamizake (Sorachi hops, 7.2%) and Luca Brassi, of course (a 3.8% stout).

This place is pretty small compared to the other Iron Hill I visited in Wilmington, DE. Service was nice but a little slow because the girl had too many tables! But she was so cute, describing all the beers and the hops. And she didn't charge me for all the samples I ordered.

The food menu is pretty average, but the one "cool" item we ordered (Alsatian flatbread with bacon and gruyere) was damn delicious (if small at $8).

I didn't think it was expensive... $17 bucks for the appetizer, one 10-oz beer, one coffee and all those free samples.

I will go back, can't wait to see what's in store next...

We didn't have a reservation and we waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday night for a table for 6. The brewery equipment is easily viewed through the large windows in the back. The bar is a nice wide open space with a couple of friendly bar tenders pulling the house make brews. The beer board is full of interesting names for the seasonal offerings and even lists upcoming releases.

We get seated and the server is quick to get us started on some samples of their offerings. She is knowledgeable about the brews and can make suggestions to taste for the less beer savvy folks at the table. My sampler of 6 seasonals leaves me with a dilemma, but I ultimately decided on a pint of the Hopweissen and am not a bit disappointed. Others at the table enjoy the Wit and the Irish.

Soups and salads arrive to a salivating crew and they look and smell great. My seafood bisque was rich and absolutely delicious. I also stole a bit of the mushroom soup which was excellent as well. The pizza was enough to share and met all expectations. Even though desserts were tempting, we were stuffed and passed.

We dropped in to Iron Hill as a suggestion from our local hosts. It is definitely a place to take visitors regardless of their appreciation of beer. If they happen to be beer lovers you will get that many more high fives for the choice. Overall this is an excellent place to have dinner and a flight of good beer. If I lived locally, I would have my own barstool at the bar to keep up to date on the fresh beers and collaborations.

I was a little familiar with Head Brewer Chris L.'s style of brewing when he worked at the IH West Chester location, I frequented the place when I had a studio there. I think he is talented because he has expanded on his style range with success.

Maple Shade offers a wide range of beer types on tap at any given time..from his award winning, very traditional Belgians, Germans and barleywine styles; to more experimental beers I love like the yummy Oatmeal Stout, Black IPA, #100 and Rising Sun IPA.

The food at this Iron Hill is different too and simply better than the PA locations. The Prime Rib Sunday Dinner for $20 is delicious. Otherwise I get the Jambalaya.

I'm happy coming here with Bill, its relaxing and comfortable. Plenty of bar seats/tables in the bar area too. Get here before 6 or 6:30pm on a weekday and you never have to wait for a hightop table. They have tons of wait staff and at least two, sometimes three bartenders at this time of day working..they never seem to be overworked and they are just nice people.

I joined the mug club last time I was there.

Oh, shitty early Friday afternoon way western Maryland departure for points equally as shitty rush hour Philly & New Jersey. Post procurement now of some Rodenbach Vintage something at some placery in the No-Libs, I just jumped the bridge to the Jersey side, and rode routes local. There may have been a strip mall. Or two. Hundred. And an Iron Hill tucked in there somewhere on the side of the road, as it should be...

Large open room with vaulted ceilings, seemingly un-IH-like. "L" shaped wood bar seating 20+ with a piping foot rail runs the far wall. 2 towers of 10 each at different points along the bar and a third tower for the service side, similar to Lancaster. Also, a single handpump sunken below further down the bar. The barback wall is a collection wood panel cubed & rectangular sectionals, their backing of windows offering slight views to the room beyond it. A large flatscreen sits on center, with a row of ceramic mugs underneath. Liquor lines the counter space below, and some of the barback wall cubes, and a large 1.21 GW burning growler filling golbi apparatus on the barback. Standard Iron Hill vertical slat boards listing tap selections mounted on both ends, lettered logoing up high above the bar and the obligatory wrought iron weather vane pointing westward.

Panel window walls to the front & side blinded. Otherwise, mostly olive walls with intermingled 2 toned yellow striping and sharp wood trims. Curvy corrugated copper pieces lining the ceiling in rows, with rows of spots in between and drop lantern chandeliers in round mesh holds. 3 rows of push together high tops on the floor, plus a ½ dozen booths in the front windows. Drop lantern singles over the booths and wall mounted lamps throughout. Flatscreens on the end walls and fermentation, cellar & seasonal listing boards.

Nearly a dozen and half booths run the hallway down past the bar leading to a rear brewroom. A pair of side rooms with a dozen or so booths and tables along the way; one done in muralage, the other holding some Partridge Family buslike décor, kind of. Both rooms offer views of a through to the far kitchen thing a-going on and have the same foldy corrugated curviness ceilings as out front but theirs is done to deal the airport hanger effect, which it does.

When I got here, there was just 1 seat at the bar and I took it as my own. Shortly thereafter, it cleared it out some (No, it was not due to my pleasant Eau de road nuances). It filled back in rather quickly and I see people on the benches en waiting, so the tide flows in and out. They do good bui'ness here.

If I could get a menu please. Started with a bowl of Chicken gumbo (andouille, rice & okra and a roll for dippin', a little heat, nicely done), and then the grilled chicky sangwich (served on a soft soft bun that put me at peace and made the world okay again), and a side salad, to boot. Yeah, I ate that. And I'm thinking maybe I'll have a beer. Sampler.

Used to be that the IH sampler got you everything they had on. May still be like that in some locations but here today, the sampler gets you the house 5 (IH Light lager, crisp & lightly easy; Vienna Red Lager, nice maltiness, a consistently good amber; Ironbound Ale, nice hoppiness, kind of grainy in a good way; Pig Iron Porter, chocolatey, always nicely roasty; Raspberry Wheat, not cloying sickly sweet but raspberry as raspberry does), + the seasonal Belgian (Unassisted Tripel, 9% warming alcohol & sugar shock sweetness but finished dry), + your choice of 2 seasonals (Situation, 100 IBU very sweet something doubleIPAbarleywinsque at 10.2%: cask McMaster Wee Heavy, 8%, has a nose of oxidation, I don't know, something's off with this one, it tastes of old beer with a smoky, malty finish).

I then spotted the Abbey Single on the menu card and may have accused my server of holding out. Upon adding, "I see how it is", she offered it up on the house (Hmmn, pours a deep copper color for a single. I was thinking that there's nothing to it, and then noticed it comes in at 3.2%. It is amazingly sessionable. Oh, Westmalle yeast spiciness, oh). And if you could just deal me everything else I haven't had please, thank you (Dry Irish Stout, on nitro, roasty bitter dryness; Irish Red Ale, also grainy, with a light caramel sweetness; RIS, 8.5%, ooh, big beer is actually roasty & nice). Vienna Red Lager, Ironbound Ale, Pig Iron Porter, Abbey Single & RIS were the best of the lot, me thinks. A German Pils, Belgian Pale Ale & India Black Ale upcoming; just not now, when I'm here to confront and drink them.

I like the chain. They're clean & comfortable, the beer is consistent and they offer a good range, and the food's always good. This location was no exception, and it's nice to see them moving eastward (now start working north. You keep building 'em, I'll keep visiting 'em, deal). I'm officially all out of IH's to see. As far as I know, anyway.

I've now been here enough that I feel I can be objective. The stars were in my eyes, a new brew pub in South Jersey after all, but now I can see clearly.

Yes, it's in South Jersey, and not too terribly difficult to get to. Folks not familiar with the area might struggle slightly, but that's why they make Google Maps and GPS, right?
Parking is plentiful, which is always nice.

The inside is what one might expect ot Iron Hill, with contemporary touches mixed with dark wood, touching on the occasionaly industrial fundamental. The bar area is up front to the right, with booths, cafe tables, and a bar that could stand to be a bit longer, but so it goes. There are TVs in the bar area, and two dining areas, again with booths, and with various tables. It's warm enough, with just a little hip flair, just what the folks of a town like Moorestown would be drawn to.

Quality is high. It's impeccably clean, everywhere so it seems, and the layout is efficient as well as cozy. The beers are always fresh, and glassware sparkling.

Service leaves a bit to be desired, overall. Hit or miss just doesn't work for a place like Iron Hill, and that's just what it is. Some days the waitstaff and bartenders are friendly and informative, other times they're dismissive or deliver comments like "I can tell you the beer basics, but I'm really more of a wine guy." Cute, huh? And then there was one of the beer dinners. There's 35 people in the dining room, and the General Manager is overheard admonishing, in a rather loud voice, "Sir, these Visa gift cards give us problems, and your credit card was declined, so we need to find another way to pay." Ever wonder what happened to discretion? Anyway, it is good well more often than it's bad, but it could use some work, polishing the soft edges, and firing GMs who obviously care more about the bottom line than caring for the customer (which is really the best way to care for the bottom line as well.)

The beer selection is never disappointing here. You of course have your standard issue Iron Hill regulars, all quite sessionable if you so incline. But it's the seasonal and monthly releases that really help things along. On various occasions I've been impressed by Quadfather, American Triple, German Pilsner, American Brown (a subtle gem in my mind), and India Black Ale. And you'll find one tasty beasty or another in cask as well, often enough, so there's something for everyone, and always something to truly please.

You can get your pub-grub on here, quite capably, or you can upscale it slightly and go with some fine sandwiches or salads. You can also dine, if not in fine fashion, then close enough to not mind it after a couple beers. There's a prime rib night (quite tasty for a Sunday dinner out) and the occasional Brew Dinner event, which gives the chef(s) a chance to stretch out their creative wings, with results that impress well more than disappoint. Iron Hill makes promises and keeps them.

Costs are a bit on the high side, and seemingly higher than other Iron Hills. But when you locate a stone's through from a toney burg like Moorestown, you'd be crazy not to bump pricing a bit to take advantage of the local wealth. And really, if you keep to the beer and some basic grub, your wallet won't be a whole lot lighter than if you went to a nice bar, so it's a destination despite the potential for overspending.

This is what South Jersey needed. Not just a brew-pub, but one that cares enough about quality and community involvement that they make a connection and pretty much ensure not only their survival, but solid success. They invested big financially, and in resources (bringing Chris in was a master-stroke) and it's paying off. And best of all, it is a gem, but not the only gem in South Jersey.

Reviewing based on three separate trips over several months, which gave a consistent enough sample to be constructive.

In all three trips, I was impressed with the variety and quality of the beers available, and the willingness with which the servers were willing to offer samples. In October, my sister and I were brought samples of several of the seasonals without requesting them, which was a nice touch.

The food is also very good, with solid variety. By far the best deal is the Sunday Prime Rib special, where you get salad, sizeable entree, and a beer for $20.

The major drawback here is the price. The beers are overpriced, and there are few inexpensive menu items. Despite this, all my visits have been pleasant, and the establishment remains a nice treat from time to time.

This is a great place to eat and drink. Some of the food is pricey, but there is a lot that is reasonably priced. I'm not going to attempt to review the beers by any professional tasting standards like what flavor or hints of something that is in the beer. If you love beer you will love what they have here. This is the only place in the area that offers this kind of thing. The Pig Iron Porter and the Ironbound Ale are my favorites so far. I did get a sample of 8 different beers, which is good to start off with. I did not care for the Light Lager (think Budweiser) or the Rasberry Wheat. The food and service is also excellent. It is also family friendly (atleast until 6:30 PM) with the best childrens menu I've seen.

update: 11/30/09

I've been there two more times since my first review, most recently on 11/25/09 during lunch. The service has been really good and consistent all three times as with the food and beer. I would suggest trying this place out if you haven't already.

Located about half a mile away from Route 38 and E. Kings Highway sits Iron Hill's first more across the river into New Jersey. Located in a small industrial plaza next to a Ford dealership and across the street from a BJ's Wholesaler. You can't miss this place because above Iron Hill in big bold red letters is the "Iron Hill Brewery." There's more than enough parking in the front and along the side of the building. If you decide to walk along the side of this Iron Hill, you can view their entire brewing operation. If you've ever been to an Iron Hill before, then you basically know what this place looks like. That means it's a decorated with wood floors, wood walls, wood tables, wood bar, an open kitchen, and a few booths here and there. This Iron Hill has a very large bar area. The bar isn't that big, but there are plenty of wood high tables in front of the bar and a few booths by the windows. Their dinning room is a hallway with two medium sized rooms on the right. Like I said before, if you've ever been to an Iron Hill before, then basically know what it looks like with some differences here and there. The one thing that this Iron Hill has and others don't that I've seen, is an automatic growler machine like the Victory brewpub has.

It's probably a good thing I didn't review this place after my first visit. The bartender I had was very arrogant and was dumber than a box of nails. Luckily, there was another bartender there who shall I say saved the day. That bartender was easy on the eyes, very polite, and actually knew their job. The last few times I was here, the service here was much better. Even though the beer orders were coming in left and right, I never had to wait long for my mug to be refilled. Great service here, but just make sure to be on the look out for that one person who ruins it for the rest.

I really don't know if they based the food prices on the area, but the food prices are high here. I know it's not your typical bar food and it's NJ, but they are high here. It's hard to find any piece of food that below the $11 price mark unless its a soup. The last time I was here, I got a cup of the Roasted Carrot soup and the Grilled Sausage Sampler. The soup was excellent and the sausages were good, but a little over priced. For $10, I got 3 half's of sausage, a spatter of 2 different mustards, and all of this was placed on a bed of lentils. Very good, but there wasn't much on my plate for what I paid for.

Now for their beer selection! They only server their own beers here. No guest taps! The last time I was here, they had 5 always on tap house beers, a seasonal Belgian Ale, 4 seasonals, one Nitro, and one cask that's not working right now. Their 5 regulars are Iron Hill Light Lager, Vienna Red Lager, Ironbound Ale, Pig Iron Porter, and Raspberry Wheat. That day, the seasonal Belgian was Unassisted Triple. The 4 seasonals were West Coast Golden, Oktoberfest, American Brown Ale, and Dunkelweizen. Their one Nitro tap was their English Session Ale. As you can tell from their selection, they favor session Ales with a big beer here and there.

If you're a fan of the Iron Hill chain of brewpubs, then you should cross over the river or drive up on the Jersey turnpike to visit this one. You should like their large open bar area, but hopefully you'll visit when they have something on tap other than their session beers. If you plan on eating and drinking here, just make sure to bring plenty of money.

I surprisingly visited this place for the first time with my wife yesterday. There are a ton of these places in the area but for some reason I've never been to one.

The building is pretty massive for a brew pub with a very larghe bar area with high top tables and two other separate dining areas. All of the brewing equipment is hidden in the back of the building and it would be nice if they showed it off a bit more. The atmosphere here is a lot better than most chain restaurants but it does have a bit of a chain sports bar feel.

We didn't have a reservation but were able to sit right away in the bar area at one of the high top tables. Once seated we got very prompt and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable about the beers and explained the different options as far as year round and seasonal offerings, glass sizes and tasting flights as well as cask and nitro options. She came back after serving each drink and course to check how everything was and got a kick out of me taking notes while drinking my beers.

The food was also very good and much better than the food at many brewpubs and chain restaurants I've been to. My wife and I shared a pumpkin soup which was very good and crab quesadilla that was good but a very small portion. For dinner I had the Smoke House Burger which had smoked bacon, barbecue onions and American cheese and my wife got a turkey sandwich. Both of these sandwiches were excellent and were served with some of the best fries I've ever had. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here.

On to the beer! They had a very nice selection of beers, all of which are brewed on-site. They offer their six year round beers plus a bunch of Belgian, English and German seasonals as well as a cask and nitro offering. We sampled four of their beers including the English Session(cask), Dunkleweizen, Unassisted Tripel and Vienna Red Lager. The beers ranged from poor to excellent with most of them on the above average side. I was happy with all of these beers except for the cask conditioned English Session Ale which was a watered down mess. I am looking forward to returning and sampling more of there beers. Recommended.

I was here the night the Phillies clinched the East, and the bar was packed with Phillies fans. They have an adequate number of TVs, but not really sportsbar level.

With that being said, it took awhile longer to get waited on, then it should have. I thought maybe it was just me, but everyone arriving at the bar after me suffered the same waiting game. It could have had something to do with the game.

I tried a Pig Iron Porter, it was really good. Better than expected, since this place bleeds chain, without any apologizes.

For grub, I had one of their burgers, it was good for a pub burger. Very fresh, and done to perfection, the bun was very good as well.

Not a bad option, especially since it was 2 blocks from my hotel. I would stop back, but I am not sure how far out of my way I would go.

Been here on a couple of different occasions now.

Tons of wood on the interior give this place a pretty good vibe overall. Very clean and crisp, not much in the line of wall hangings or pictures. Just clean, neutral walls and dark wood.

Upon walking in the front door you are greeted by a bevvy of hostesses manning their booth. To the right of the main entrance way, is a large bar area. Booths line the windows along the right hand side, an array of hightops fill the floor area, and a bar the length of the room lines the wall along the left. There are chalkboards with the draft list on the main wall dead ahead as well as metal lists behind the bar.

The restaurant area is straight ahead as you enter through the main entrance and consists of a main hallway with booths on either side and two good size dining rooms with an open kitchen along the far side. The brewing operation is in the back, in a small area near the bathrooms.

The beer is average to above average as a whole. I have had a few of their styles over the course of three visits: Anvil Ale, Ironbound Ale, Pig Iron Porter(Nitro), IPA, IBA, West Coast Golden and Belgian Pale Ale. The IPA, West Coast Gold and the Pig Iron Porter are growler worthy in a pinch.

The food is a little pricey given the quality and quantity.

The service has been good for me so far.

A: Quite possibly the largest of the brewpubs in NJ; the capacity of this place was tremendous. As such, despite the freshly new and clean decor, it felt more like TGIF rather than a brewpub. If you didn't know beforehand, you could deduce that it was part of a brewpub chain.

Q: The brews were definitely above average. Some of the standouts were the Ironbound pale ale (A), Raspberry Wheat (A-), the Pig Iron Porter (B+), and the Light Lager (B+). However, most of the other brews were on the other side of the ratings spectrum. Not much of a middle ground here; they either knock it out of the park, or strike out.

SRv: I can't stress how many waitresses/hostesses approached us and offered us friendly service upon our arrival. Very impressive. The only dent in this was that our server didn't know much about the beer that she was serving.

Sel: An impressive array of beer styles on hand, covering American, British, Belgian, and German styles.

F: The food was great, which I found to be surprising, given the fact that it was in essence a chain restaurant. I had the salmon/bacon burger...fantastic.

Solid place. Now I see why Iron Hill has so many locations. NJ is lucky to have them now!

Very nicely decorated place, the acoustics are great and sitting at the bar, even on a Friday at happy hour, you have no problems with hearing the conversation of multiple people in your party. Not having to scream at happy hour is a huge plus IMO giving this place an exceptional score for me on atmosphere. The bartenders and waiters / waitresses I have had so far have all been knowledgeable on both the beer and food selections, even if it does feel a bit rehearsed as they describe each beer. Asking a question about anything unrelated to what they have memorized usually gets you a blank look and fear that they have forgotten something haha. The place is new enough that I forgive this though, hopefully, they will get better as time progresses. The severs do not rush you out the door even if the place is busy which is important to me. I want to relax and enjoy my meal, not feel like I am being rushed out to get the next person in.

Food is above average for a brewpub / bar. Appetizer- Calamari was excellently done. I can not tell you how many people mess up calamari and make it taste like they pulled it out of the rubber vat. Very few places outside of a fine dining establishment have been able to impress me with their calamari. Main Course - I went bold and decided to get the catfish and it was very well prepared. Light flaky, with a nice outer crust, the sauce it came with gave it a unique flavor, the potatoes were good. Vegetables were underdone, but I have found that a lot of time it is due to chefs preference. (Second Trip No app)Main Course - Fish and Chips. Not half bad, but I do not necessarily recommend it. Fish was cooked well, and the chips were not half bad, but they have better items on their menu. The accompanying sauce (tarter) was the best I have had outside of homemade though which is really what saved this dish for me. Third Trip (calamari again for app) Meatloaf for the main course. Meatloaf had a catchup glaze on it and it was actually quite tasty. Everyone I have gone with has always liked what they got for dinner as well, everything from their shrimp pizza to the Angus burger all got good to rave reviews. Only complaint from everyone, every time (if their meal came with it), was the vegetables being underdone.

Beer Selection / Taste - Got a sampler the first time, and signed up for the mug club almost immediately. None of their beers are what I would consider world class beers. With that said though, none of their beers are bad either. Every other selection so far has been more than enjoyable. They really know how to brew some good beer here. Personal favorites are PigIron Porter, Raspberry Wheat (Do a black and tan of these two for a shocking great taste!), and their Anvil Ale. I have yet to get a beer that I have said "oh that's no good" The Belgian they currently have on tap also deserves a mention due to the coriander they have in it. It gives it an almost smoked flavor (just a hint mind you) that really makes this stand out for me.

Tour (X2) - There are two types of tours right now. The one where you get the head brewer and it is informative and engaging, and then the one where you get some random person and they just walk you to each station and prattle off some memorized line and then ask for questions. Again though I am forgiving of this right now because of how new the place is. If this continues, especially on the tours I would be disappointed though since this is a pretty important part.

I have been their once every weekend so far and plan on making a staple in my drinking establishments. I am glad to have such a wonderful place in my neighborhood.

Atmosphere - Good. A long well seated bar along with numerous bar tables and stools provide adequate seating for the night time crowds. The building itself was nice, wide open with large tall ceilings provide a vast openness that is only succeeded by the warm welcoming notions of the staff. A large visible beer menu with large screen tvs hang above the bar with a growler filler sitting center stage. The atmosphere was very welcoming as well the staff providing for a very good comfortable feel here.

Quality - the overall quality of the beers ive sampled, 8 in all, were average to good in most regards, nothing was mind blowing or spectacular or growler worthy. I hope this changes soon. Most of the beers were middle of the road brews, or tweeners, aimed mostly for the casual drinker that wants something more then BMC but nothing to extreme like Hopsickle.

Service - Service was very good here, the staff that I encounted as well the manager was extremely nice and helpful, well informed and eager to pour you the next drink or answer questions. Maybe because I had a notebook in hand but like to think they are like that for everyone. Each staffer had to undergo a beer class to become informed of their product and obtain a high passing score of 95% or would have to retake the test. The brewer seems intent on passing his knowledge down and having his staff well informed of the product they are serving which is a very good thing. Hospitality was very good, was here during lunch during a weekend before the crowds picked up so really cant provide insight to the busier times of the night.

Selection - Good selection of various styles, everything from a light lager for the casual drinker to a raspberry wheat for the women. A Vienna red, Belgian pale, black ipa, and hefe-weizen were also present and readily available. A slot for the nitro (pig iron) and an upcoming beer engine promises even more styles. A west coast hopped ipa was set to be introduced later that night. Overall a wide and varied selection of styles were readily available providing something for everyone here.

Food- honestly didn't have the food here this time around but my mouth watered just from reading the menu, scallop shrimp, angus burgers, Hawaiian spiced tuna, Mediterranean wraps and even a glutten free menu that includes a glutten free beer (Red bridge) as well as their own homemade rootbeer. Prices were a bit pricey but the food was definitely upscale for a brewery and offered good pairings with their beer. Some of their food from what I was told was also cooked in their own house brew. A huge selection of top quality food, and from what I was told was as every bit as good as it sounded from the menu. Will definitely try the food next time but from the looks of it the food looks like a strong point here.

Value - Food value was good, proportion wise from what is seen and considering that this was much more then just pub grub. A bit pricey per beer ($5.25 a glass), $4.50 would have been more suitable but someone has to pay for that million dollar liquor license. A bit pricey for mediocre beer but im hoping that they will soon offer bigger and bolder interpretations to even the field a bit for the discriminatory drinker like myself which I would gladly pay and readjust this rating.

Pulled into the parking lot at 5:30 on a Thursday and had a hard time finding a spot. Once I got inside, it was filled with plenty of people. The hostess station had a line and the hostesses seemed to be in a bit of confusion. It took a few minutes to get a table in one of the back sections of the resturant. The bar area is huge, with a large bar and a ton of hightop tables. Plenty of glass windows allow a bright atmosphere depsite the dark woods and colors. This seemed to have a bit of an upscale vibe as the crowd had plenty of business folks.

There is a nice beer list of standard offerings - Pig Iron Porter, Ironbound Ale, Raspberry Wheat, Vienna Red Lager, and a Light beer. There were 5 special beers on the list - Hefeweizen, Belgian Witbier, India Black Ale, Belgian Pale Ale, and Anvil Ale. The beers we had were of good quality and were tasty. The India Black Ale and Belgian Pale were my favorites for the evening.

Service was somewhat slow, but it could be understood with the large crowd and the relative newness of the place. Some waitresses looked like they were still in training.

The food was decent but somewhat expensive. Food came out quickly. The cheesesteak eggroll was definitely unique, and the fish and chips were crispy but overly salty. The chicken pot pie was less exciting.

This place looks like a gold mine for the south Jersey area waiting for a brewpub since the wait list when we left seemed to be 50+ people long. Definitely worth a stop for locals, but very similiar to other IH's in PA.

Bartender was gracious and gave good service. She was knowledgeable of the selection of beers on tap.
However, the restaurant portion of Iron Hill was a different story. We sat at a table to order food. The waitress was unorganized. Wait time for drinks and food was too long and some of the order was forgotten. In addition, beers were not served in clean glasses. After pointing out to the staff that the glass had lipstick on the rim, they graciously replaced the beer with another dirty glass.
Management was not friendly.

Well it's kind of just like the other one's I suppose. A big open area hostess desk is right in front of you when you walk into the door.An open area with tables and boothes is to your right and the bar is straight and to the right. If you walk directley forward from the door there are more boothes with the tanks behind that and another open area with tables. Along with the bathrooms.There are t.v's all around the bar and in the seating area. Not hard at all to pick a game from any seat in the house. AAAH still has that new feeling to it.

The beer's are decent a little off but decent. I had the Scottish ale on nitro,and a Indian black ale. My wife had the Ironbound Ale and the rasberry wheat.When I say decent there just some off flavors about both of my beers.

Service was excellent. Our waitress was very nice she seemed to be well trained in what she was serving and fast about everything. Very pleasant.

Selection of food and beers are excellent. Slightly less than the Iron Hill in North Wales but still a very good selection.

Food is a bit overpriced in my book. My wife had chicken and Linguini and it just seemed a little light for the amount of money you pay for an entree. My chicken sandwhich and fries were very good and well worth the money.

Being that I live in Maple Shade this was a welcome addition to my neck of the woods.

My buddy and I went to opening night on July 20. We got there a little early and we were told we could sit at the bar and order drinks.

We got the sampler of 8 beers (came to $8 per person for eight 4 oz glasses)....included were the 5 house beers along with the Belgian White, Hefeweizen and India Black IPA. The one beer we didn't try was the Kellerbound that was on Nitro. Sadly it's no longer on their draft list being replaced with their Scottish Ale on Nitro. I'll have to keep my eyes for a return of the Kellerbound in the future.

As far as food goes we just went with the loaded nachos. Huge plate with the works that really filled the 2 of us up. Easily could have been shared among 3 or 4 people. Service was fast and the food was served hot. I only gave this a 4 because we just had an appetizer that night. I'll re-review this at a later date when I sit down for a meal

The crowd was more business people on opening night (mostly local government officials from the township and business association), but still a nice crowd nonetheless. My buddy and I are in our early 30's and we were easily the youngest people there. Not that it's a bad thing in any way. The older crowd will be good for business because it's a nice place to take a date or have a business lunch/dinner.

As big as the crowd was that night it's very easy to talk to the person next to you. That's always big plus in my book. Nothing worse then going somewhere and you're drowned out by either music or the TV. There was music on but at a very low volume and the TV was on (Phillies game) but the sound was off.

The selection of the beer was nice and I know they just went with the house beers and a few seasonal beers to get things going. I saw about 6 - 8 open spots on the tap list that I know they'll fill up in the near future. At that point I'll re-review the selection segment.

The food price is more mid to high range, but they have a great selection from looking at the menu.
