Actually not a bad beer selection for a grocery store. Nothing special, but consistently has Sculpin and some other solid brews. Also, all six and twelve packs can be broken into singles with no increase in price.

This is the only Trader Joes in NJ that sells beer, there could be one more license, but for some reason, they do not exercise it. Anyway, while the store has a good selection of wine, it has only 2 bookshelves worth of beer, with mostly generics, and some odds and ends such as Caledonian, Blue Moon, Oranjeboom, Ommegang, Lindemans, Corona, Sierra Nevada, and Magic Hat. No local beers because allegedly, there isn't much of a value, but Magic Hat 6ers costs north of $10 and a 12er costs south of $20. Why can't they, an ecologically conscious chain, sell local products.

Also, none of the beers are chilled so I'm lucky my Great Scot Pale Ale didn't spoil.

The service is OK, no employees asking what you want, but will help out a little bit. Trader Joes is inexpensive, but this is what you get for your money.

First off, i'm a huge Trader Joe's fan. I love the food they have, the style of the store and the fact that you can get singles for 1$ each. So while my wife shopped at the outlets, i ducked out quickly to check this place out.

It's a bit far from the highway and takes a while to get there but i finally made it. The store is fairly big and the beer is in the back to the right. I have to admit to being disappointed a bit with their selection. While they had a lot of their exclusives, they lacked a little in other breweries. A few from Brooklyn & Sierra Nevada (watch out, the Stout was stale when i went) and one from Blue Point but no Rogue, usually a staple for them. One Lindemans, one or two Ommegang and some generics to round it off. Strictly average in their selection.

Service was decent if not a little slow. The real attraction here (and for other TJ's) is the prices. You can break up six-packs so it's pretty dirt cheap buying singles here.

Other than that, i wouldn't make a detour here but if you need groceries and you're in the area, you can get some beer for bargain prices.
