American double/Imperial IPA
8.4% ABV
80 IBU
APPEARANCE: Poured a nice dark amber color, great thick eggshell colored, dense head. Light lacing.
AROMA: felt the nose on this was a bit muted. Faint pineapple, grapefruit bit of hops. Malty day old bread smell comes through pretty hard.
TASTE: More of an English IPA to me, I believe the can had a British accent when I heard it crack open. Malty, bready some caramel in there. The booziness comes in pretty heavy and hides most of the hop profile.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body and carbonation. Did get some floating sediments that I wasn't super fond of.
OVERALL: Not my go to style of IPA. I like the fact it was in a can, and the color was really striking. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy again.
RATING: 2.5/5 Zombie Heads!

12oz single picked up at Total Wine in Bellevue, Washington.
Canned on 09/03/19. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Slightly hazy medium amber color. A solid light khaki head that recedes fairly slowly to a thin cap of foam, plenty of lacing. moderate carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Pithy citrus (grapefruit, orange and lemon), resinous pine, caramel malt, light tropical fruits, herbal/grassy notes.
Taste- Very caramel malt forward with pine notes and pithy citrus playing backup.
Feel- Medium/heavy bodied, sticky with a sweet yet strong bitter finish. Medium carbonation on the tongue.
O- A decent DIPA, the bitterness is a little overwhelming. Still pretty good none the less.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at the 7 Seas Brewery and Taproom on July 31, 2018. A mash tun packed with pale, medium crystal and carapils malts provide a firm, slightly sweet malt flavor while copious amounts of resiny Yakima Valley hops go berserk on bitterness, flavor and aroma. Truly a big, bold and balanced double.

Suprisingly smooth feel for double with abv of 8.4%. Bold hit of bitterness hits and follows with pleasant taste.

This is one of my favorites. Since I live where it is brewed, If I see it on tap, I order it. The color almost orange. The aroma is piny, resiny and citrusy. The taste has that dank. resiny taste that I just love. Just about the right amount of carbonation and slickness.

12 oz. can:
Pours hazed orange amber to copper with a white head that soon thins, leaving little lacing.
The smell is of strong caramel with subtle tropical/citric fruit and some peppery alcohol.
The taste is of caramel with peppery/spicy alcohol. Some tropical fruit and an herbal bitterness show in the finish.
It has a chewy, oily, thick-ish body. A little sticky.
Nothing really special about this one. Caramel is very strong. Hops break through the massive malt character, but their flavor could stand out a bit more. Seems more like an American strong ale or American barleywine, though it fits well enough into DIPA.
Picked up for about $10 a four-pack at Fred Meyer's in Bremerton, WA.
It's decent enough, but personally doubt I would get again.

Exceptional beer from a top notch brewery. This is one of my all time favorite beers, so incredibly drinkable. Very flavorful, very smooth!
