12oz can from a 6-pk purchased at Total Wine in Spokane Valley, Washington, for $8.99. No obvious freshness date. Presumably, “Single IPA”, printed on the can (incidentally different from the one pictured on BA) is a reference to it not being a “Double IPA,” as there are no claims otherwise that this is brewed using a single hop variety.

Poured into a Mad Bomber IPA glass, this was a chill-hazed, orangey dark amber color, with a big, sticky, beige-colored head that hung around or a bit and left lots of lace on the sides of the glass.

Big, grapefruity and piney hop aroma. This smells like it’s definitely in the “traditional” PNW IPA style.

Big, grapefruity, bitter flavor, but not a whole lot else. It tastes good, but is a little one dimensional.

Medium bodied, with a resiny, sticky, oily mouthfeel.

This is probably the least interesting IPA I’ve had that could also be called, “dank.” It’s a decent beer, but nothing to get too excited about. For a decent price, I’d drink it in a bar, but I’m not sure I’ll be buying another sixer of it, as there’s just too many other options I enjoy more.

I bought a six-pack (cans) of Rude Parrot in a bottle shop. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a copper/gold color, chill haze, with a thick off-white head.

Smell is a mostly hop aroma. Pine and citrus scents.

Taste is balanced, a malt presence up front, with a bitter pine and citrus finish.

Mouthfeel is clean with a dry bitter aftertaste.

Overall a good IPA. Maybe a bit over carbonated, but good.

12oz single picked up at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington.
Canned on 09/26/19. Served in a pint glass.

Look- Clear medium amber color. Modest off-white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin cap of foam, decent lacing. Moderate carbonation streams visible.

Smell- Pithy citrus (grapefruit, orange/tangerine and lemon/lime), resinous pine, sweet bready malt, light stone and tropical fruits, herbal/floral notes.

Taste- Similar to the nose. Pithy citrus and a bit of tropical juiciness up front with a light bready malt backbone, some light pine notes. Pretty well balanced.

Feel- Medium/light bodied, dry and crisp with a light bitter finish. Medium carbonation on the tongue.

O- My second offering from 7 Seas and it's pretty nice, and at 5.9% ABV I could see this being a good session IPA during the summer.

Modest hop flavors with a pleasant tangy and winey sensation. A little orange in the nose. Grapefruit peel aftertaste. Some malty and roasted flavors with a bitter finish. A very average IPA. I'm always hoping for clean and flavorful hops. What does "SIngle IPA" mean, anyway? From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but has a slightly better hop presence in the aroma.

(From notes) Poured a vivid orange gold with a thin film of tight white head. Traditional IPA aromas that skew more to the gentle floral/honey side of the spectrum.

Moderate carbonation and a full mouthfeel. Was very pleasantly surprised by the balance of flavors going on -- floral hops and pineapple up front followed by mild honey/caramel sweetness and a slightly tart grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Hint of alcohol warmth rounded this one out -- nice.

There is nothing rude about this IPA. The beer pours a golden brown and smells like summer citrus. This IPA starts off crisp and slightly sweet on the palate, but the citrusy bitter hops catch up on the back end. This is a warm weather IPA that is made for a session in the sun since it doesn't have a particularly high alcohol content. Grab some if you have a chance, because you won't regret it.
