The Homy is one of those beloved places in Omaha. It isn't necessarily known for a beer bar--and known more for being a busy place with a wonderful assortment of people, its beer kitsch covering the walls and ceilings, and the champagne on tap. But this place does pretty well in the beer department as well. The staff isn't overwhelmingly knowledgeable about beer, but they do have a pretty nice assortment of beer on tap besides the bmcs: Boulevards, New Belgiums, Goose Islands, and the normal imports, but for the past year they have also had St. Bernardus Abt. 12 on tap and a healthy assortment of good bottles. This isn't the best beer bar in the metro, but it's a pretty good one. And it's a really good bar in general, so even if champagne on tap or peanuts in dog dishes aren't your thing, you will have a good time and a good beer at the Homy.
