Dark brownish red body with a overly funky aroma. Overly acidic making it very sour to taste which overpowers the oak and cherries. Barrel-aged Port is a strong red wine which is highly acidic so coupled with the wild yeast fermentation process takes some balance to reach a proper acid/sour level and ratio. Cherry is also a difficult fruit to utilize in brewing in that if not chosen right this fruit can offset the sourness of the beer which is the case here. Once the beer warmed it settled into the wine type finish and was more palatable.

L- a brownish red body, clean filtered.
S- a pleasant funk, yeast aroma.
T- a pleasant, more acidic sour over cherry fruit flavor.
F- a little delicate, very drinkable.
O- I first sampled this at the Canvitational back in September and was pleasantly surprised as a brown sour was not something I expected to like a lot. The port barrel aging really compliments the sour brown. I was eager to try again when they released it for public sale and am not disappointed at all. A pleasant and drinkable BA sour.

A- Brownish, redish body. Clean filtered
S- A little funk, yeast, leather, oak, but all very light
T- cherry, leather, oak, ... but all super watered down. Almost like they cut the beer with 50% water
F- Watery and thin. I guess some may call it drinkable if you wanted to put a positive spin on it
O- Disappointed. The description sounded good. Just felt very watered down.

A very nice brick red-brown body, off white head that clings and persists. The nose is funky, and the flavor tilts toward sour acidity over fruit. Generally pleasant but unremarkable.
