This one is better on draft. Very sweet finish.

Taste: crisp semi sweet caramel malts, nutty, hint of hop, dry finish. Fresh grain and light malt nose. Golden hue. slightly hazy, foamy carbonated head some lace. Medium to med/light body. Almost more of a Pils than cream ale. 20 IBUs

Had it on tap at Tumbleweed, very average. My first cream ale, pretty much tasted like a regular old beer like Budweiser or maybe Coors banquet.
However, the cream sodaish aroma I got from it is what sold me.

Overall not terrible, as stated above very average but would drink again.

If I had enough of this style to know what average is, I'd say Sunlight Cream Ale was average. My first from Sun King. I'd like to try more.

12oz canned 8/10/17 poured into a craftmaster one glass at fridge temp (no ABV listed on can). The beer pours bright and slightly darker than straw yellow. The head is off white and settles down to a ring and splotchy film islands. Aroma is mildly sweet but corny in a not nice way. The taste is mild light malt with a tiny bitterness to balance. Mouthfeel is thin bodied, very carbonated and the finish is thick with soapy/oily off-putting aftertaste. Overall, below average. This is low ABV malt liquor. I used to think Sun King made good beer but, I think all the hoppy or roasty beers cover the diacetyl (or whatever this is) well. That said, your friends who only drink macro AAL will drink this no problem.

12 oz can. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small white head. Nice aroma of sweet malt, corn and some grassiness. Flavor is sweet and biscuity with a nice dry finish.

12 oz can from a friend in Indianapolis. Drank after mowing the lawn on a warm spring day. Malty and grainy with hints of honey and lemon. Drinkable but nothing special.....reminded me of a non-light macrobrew like Bud or Old Mil but with a better aftertaste. Not terrible but I wouldn't go out of my way to try again. I'm all for supporting small breweries and 'drinking local' like it says on the can, but this beer left a lot to be desired.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Feb 15th 2017, Cheers!

Pale and uniform orange color, with perhaps a touch of lemon edged hues. Fairly clear body, and a soapy two finge forming head. Minimal retention, and not a collar to be sparred. Barely a pencil thin hint of a round ring.

Aroma gives off a decent hint of fruity ester note, if a little small and indistinct. Faint touch of maize like sweetness a bit, a hint of faint crispness, but a touch of a little honey syrup quality too.

Palate is fairly decent. Slightly runny body with touches of nice sweetness of malt, and a touch of almost soda cream and sharp hop bite. Lightly carbonated, and a touch flat, but gives even some orange flavor (or is it just the psychological color playing tricks on me?). Crispy slightly, but also tangy finish. Slightly drying mid front palate a bit, but stays away from chalky flavors and feel. Sweetness to a bare minimum.

A decent cream ale.
