This is a very welcome addition to the Sun King lineup. Porters are becoming an underrated and had to fine (good ones that is) style of beer. As everyone is on the IPA and barrel aged bandwagon, it is nice to have a solid beer as this to change the pace.

Thoroughly enjoyed from the can in a snifter via a friend from work---THANKS JUSTIN!
Pours a dark blackish brown with a medium head of light tan dissipating foam that settles to a thick ring , light layer, and subtle lacing. Nose of chocolate, cream, and dark roasted malts. Flavors exceed the nose with milk chocolate awash in dark roasted malts with a touch of char on the middle and subtle lactose sweetness. Very substantial in the aftertaste is a fine roasted malt note that is satisfying to stout porter drinkers. Medium mouth feel, coating and sweet, with a sweet aftertaste and low carbonation. Excellent. Would have this one again and would love to visit this brewery.
Cheers

From the can poured into a pint glass, the mouthfeel was rather thin, but overall this is a quality porter with a nice lactose-sweetness to accent the maltiness of the brew.

Dark appearance, no light through it. Smells a little dank. Roasty malt. Little vanilla. Kind of like a vanilla protein shake that was mixed in water. Tastes sweet, strong malt character here. Thin on flavor. It's kind of like when you go to an okay brewpub and everything besides their ipas all taste pretty much the same. This reminds me of an experience like that. Creamy mouthfeel, probably the highlight here. Overall, I really love sunking. This particular brew, not so much. Too many other fine options from sunking, and too many other good porters from elsewhere to pick this up again NYD.

Rather sweet, a tad watery, some chocolate, roasted malt, wee bit of dark fruits, some coffee.
