L: A dark dark brown, mocha pencil thin head

S: Chocolate, dark fruit, little coffe, creamy

T: Sweet and roasty, cocoa nibs, coffee, not overpowering taste

F: Clean, not to heavy, not watery but a very drinkable stout

O: This is the kind of stout that you could have a few of and not feel bloated. The kind of stout that you could drink in the summer and feel fine. Not overpowering but just a clean and good tasting stout. I like it.

On tap at the Arch Bridge Tap House in Oregon City. I assume this was a left over keg from the recent CBC conference in PDX.

While I thought this a very nice beer, it was a bit more roasty and licorice filled than I normally care for. There was still some nice dark chocolate and vanilla as well, which I appreciated. The beer was a tad boozy on the full, fairly dry finish.

A very solid beer, but not really a stand out, in the world of impy stouts. That being said, I'll bet a barrel aged version of this would be terrific, and would likely soften some of the rough edges in this beer.

A- Quick collared tan head. Swirl leaves light legs. Body is dark brown.

S- Sweet cocoa powder aroma.

T- Good roasty/burnt favors. Drinks less than its stated ABV.

M- Medium/medium-full mouthfeel, smooth. A tad over-carbed for the style in my opinion, not enough to deter for the overall experience though.

D/O- Overall, Sun King Timmie RIS is quite drinkable for its 10%abv. Good mouthfeel, good roastiness/chocolate flavors. Thanks @robwestcott, looking forward to the Timmie variants coming up shortly.

A - Solid opaque with brown highlights, with tan head, tight, and persistent. Some minor lacing. Major legs.

S - Malt, molasses, caramel, burning a bit with alcohol. Chocolate in the background.

T - Chocolate out front, molasses with just a touch of sulfur, torched sugar, and a bit of brownie batter. Some subtle bitterness in the middle, with a nice warming sweetness in the close.

M - Slick and full, coating, minor carbonation.

O - This is a very full imperial stout, luscious and delicious. Rock solid and a real pleasure.

Delicious stout. I wish it was not seasonal. I think it is available for only about a month.
