Had on tap at Brouwers.

A: Served in a pint glass. The beer is a clear copper color with a small tan colored head on top. Nice head retention and lacing.

S: Nice malty aroma, slightly sweet and bready. Lightly hopped with a little bit of earthy/grassy hops.

T: Quite tasty, more caramel, bready malt and very nice sweetness on the finish.

M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation, very smooth and easy drinking.

O: A very nice ESB, ordered it because of the name, but enjoyed it quite a bit.

First had: on tap at their brewpub

Poured a clear honey color with a well-retaining cap of white head. Biscuity malts on the aroma and light floral hops. No problems here. Taste of toasted bread topped with honey, lightly hopped for a clean finish. Medium-bodied, smooth, and easily drinkable.

Clear copper colour with a creamy light tan head. Good head retention and nice lacing.

Rich earthy hop aroma with the distinct edge provided by EKG. Nice mild malt.

Quite a hoppy bitter up front with lots of earthy, floral English hops. The malt comes through the middle with a big dose of toffee like malts. Nice.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Crisp bitterness helps to cut through the malt.

A really solid ESB with a hop and malt balance. I feel that the two try to compete a little bit too much with each other in this balance but it's still good.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a nice clean, clear coppery-brown With just under an inch of of-white head tha had good retention and medium lacing.

The beer had a very nicely balanced aroma, biscuity malt and even hopping. The taste was also fairly well balanced between the nice biscuit malts and a gentle hop tang.

The body was good, full and tongue coating, without being heavy or sticky. Drinkability was very good, an afternnon long session at the pub would be easy with this tasty brew.

Overall, a very nice beer, worth a road trip to the gorge.
