A good friend picked up a single 22-ounce bottle to try while he was out visiting family in Washington state earlier this month. Pours a hazy golden-yellow in color with a good 2-finger foamy white head. Aroma is of pine with grapefruit (though there is none in this brew). Taste follows the nose with the light hint of tangerine (which wasn't in the aroma along with floral hops with a hint of pine also. Bitter finish as would be expected. Medium-bodied with dent carbonation. Overall it was OK.

Surprised by this beer a bit. Poured a murky dull yellow to orange. The nose is of citrus and a bouquet flowers. Taste is very crisp citrus (tangerine and grapefruit) light Mellon and fresh cut flowers. Crisp and dry mouthfeel. Good beer.

12 ounce can brought back to Orange County via Seattle, on to the beer:

A soapy half-inch of head sits above this yellow dominated beer with a tint of orange. Good things come to whose who smell, and here, it smells like a fruit salad. Little waves of melon, cantaloupe, other fruity notes, and an accent of grass nearly leaves me to forget that there is still a liquid to drink. I was confused what I was drinking, a kölsch or a pale ale? The beer is dry with a touch of melon. It takes on a flowery and grassy flavor. Okay, I'm calling this half kölsch/half pale ale. The beer is light, however it doesn't offer any crispness. Sure, I was confused what I was drinking, but it sure does help in battle against the nearly 100 F afternoon.
