On cask at Fremont Brewing. Poured into a standard pint glass (this review from notes taken 8/11/11):

A - Poured a cloudy tan/orange, less than 1/2-finger of off-white small bubble head. No retention, and only spots of lace left on the glass.

S - Mild piney/floral hop scent immediately, then a sharp citrus balanced with the herby/spicy combo of the coriander and peppercorns.

T - A bit of floral/piney hop to start, with a bit of mild sweetness. Mild hop bitterness follows that flows into a stronger lemon zest forming a foundation for a slow but mild peppery sizzle. The pepper lingers into sweet and herby hop aftertaste.

M - Medium body, with the tiniest tingle of carbonation on the top of the tongue. The low peppery heat complimented the carbonation well.

D - It's decent and drinkable. The mild hoppiness makes it unsatisfactorily mild for an IPA, but it's spiced up a tad flavor and uniqueness by the coriander and peppercorns. It was a must-try for me, and it didn't disappoint. Not mind-blowingly awesome, but I would have it again just for the uniqueness of it.

On cask at Fremont Brewing in Seattle, WA. August 11th, 2011. Poured into a straight pint glass.

A: The beer pours a murky brownish gold color, much like unfiltered apple cider. There was a very thin head of white foam and minimal lacing.

S: Aromas of pine, orange peel and banana were noticeable.

T: The malt is barely noticeable in this cask IPA. Mild notes of lemon are present along with sweet peppery kick.

M: Light carbonation with an oily mouth feel.

O: This was an enjoyable cask experiment. I'd have it again.
