A: Poured a transparent light orange with a nice white cap presenting some bubbles, light lacing. Looks appealing. Pretty good head retnetion here.

S: Loads of fresh fruits here; everything from pineapple to grape fruit, orange peel but I really received a bit of pine and spruce tips

T: Big citrus upfront with some spruce and pine needles following. There is a light caramel presence. The finish is a little slick with a subtle hop bite, light, very light booze sting, refreshing citrus and fruits round it off

M: Light to medium bodied, well carbonated, citrus really sits on the palate creating an enjoyable mouthfeel

O: Mighty damn fine!

A: 1/4" cream coloured head over amber liquid with good clarity.

S: Strong presence of pine, earth, and grass.

T: Earth, pine, grass, flowers, biscuit malt and citrus on the back end. Excellent.

M: Smooth medium viscosity and a medium level of fine carbonation.

O: A beautiful and extremely drinkable beer. One of the better fresh hop beers I have had.

Pour: On draft at Fremont Brewing in Seattle, WA. Poured into a nonic pint glass. Appearance: Clear amber with the slightest amount of white head and lacing. Aroma: Big bold, fresh hop aroma. I could smell the brew from a distance. Lots of grass and citrus on the nose. Taste: Hoppy and pine notes are immediately detected. This is followed by citrus and grass. Aftertaste: Huge and long lasting hop linger are present long after the sip. Overall: Wow! Really enjoyed this fresh brew. A testament to fresher is better with this style. Excellent. 4.75 out of 5.

On tap at Fremont Brewing in Seattle, WA. October 18th, 2011.

A: The beer pours a pale orange color with a very minimal haze. There is a one-finger head of off white foam that sticks around. The lacing is similar and does not dissipate.

S: This has a fantastic citrus hop aroma with hints of grapefruit, apricot nectar and mango. There is a hint of caramel malt, but the Citra hops in this beer are wonderfully fragrant and really dominate here.

T: The initial taste is one of caramel malt, but it quickly melds into a strong bitter hop note. Touches of pine, citrus, lemongrass are present.

M: The beer has a medium body with average carbonation. The mouth feel is dry yet oily.

O: Fremont knocked it out of the park with this one. They're not allowing growler fills of this at the brewery, so I'll need to track down some bombers.

Wow. Just wow. My new favorite West Coast hoppy beer.
A very hop-forward Pale Ale (consider this beer a smooth IPA). The IBU's are definitely in the IPA category.
Delicious, grapefruit/tropical fruit notes in the smell and taste. You can really tell that this beer uses the freshest hops available, because the hop presence is massive for a pale ale, in the best way. Has a delicious pine/resin/floral note to the beer, but it's so smooth to counterbalance all of the flavor. This will be one of the first things I think of from now on when the month of September rolls by.
