Availability: Rotating
Notes / Commercial Description:
A tiny beautiful something showcases a new hop variety, El Dorado. We started playing around with this hop last year. We brewed a pilot batch with this hop exclusively and one with it blended with some of our other favorite Northwest varieties. In the end, we decided that the El Dorado had such a unique and interesting character on its own, so we decided to brew it as a “single hop” pale ale. The aroma and flavor offer intense candied orange and citrus zest. A touch of flaked oats provide a rounded, silky mouthfeel. And like our other hoppy offerings, tiny was brewed to finish dry and clean.

First try at Maine Beer co. Really let down. Smell and taste is extremely muted and watered down. More like a pale lager. Hops were Catty and basically non-existent. Poured from a growler bottled 1/31/17.

Had this on tap at the Sunset in Boston. Not sure if the keg was old but I thought this was the worst beer I've ever had by MBC

Bottled April 7th, enjoyed April 25th
A - Pear wheat body with a touch of orange. Really nice paper white head pours two fingers high with nice retention and fantastic lace.
S - Nose isn't great. Wet bread, spinach, and cilantro. Unpleasantly musky for the style.
T - Earthy with wet grass, yeast, and dried leaves. Light coriander spice. Tastes unfinished to me.
M - Pleasantly light body with par carbonation.
O - I really like Maine Beer and was really excited for this, but was unfortunately disappointed. The flavors felt dull and damp, and the net effect wasn't very appealing.

This one was one month old, fizzy and flavorless.

This is nothing special. It's decent, but buying to rave over.

Considering how much people love this brewery, and how hard it was to find this beer, I certainly expected a lot more. Pretty basic, nothing really stands out in particular. Smells okay, tastes somewhat citrus-y, fairly bitter. Fine enough, just nothing special.

Breakfast beer again. Bottle to slim pint glass.
LOOK: Slightly hazy Yellow; Big White Head.
AROMA: Grass, hay, mold.
TASTE: slight ash, slight citrus, vegetable. The El Dorado Hop seems very light.
FEEL: Good Carbonation; Light and smooth drinking.
A nice beer from Maine, but not something I'd go after again. Lacks some oomph.

Didn't love this. Had a bottle from a reputable shop, bitter in not a pleasing way.

Love MBC so was looking forward. Fresh keg. Dissapointed
Light yellow with very little head.
Smell was off putting--sweet cat pee
Taste was with the smell. Didn't want to finish. I like some "cat pee" beers but almost tasted slightly soured
Thin
Really didn't like. ?bad batch? May next time comes around but didn't like at all.

Bottle in NYC. Cost was $8.99.
Fragrant perfumey floral aroma. Hints at lemon detergent without committing.
Taste is floral and citrusy, evoking muted lime and vague bright citrus fruits. Mellow pale malt keeps it balanced, but rough dragging hop bitterness gets the better hand by the finish.
Crystal malt lends this a fragile softness, but a fuller body would serve it well.
Refreshing yet dry and coarse.
I do like it, and the hop profile is nice for an American pale ale. Well worth trying, if a bit too pricey to warrant a second purchase.

I just opened the 17 oz bottle and poured into a tulip glass. The appearance and nose was very nice. Nice taste but a bitter finish. Mouth feel was better after it settled down. Probably won't finish the bottle because of the aftertaste. Please note that I typically do not beers with high IPUs.
