Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.50%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
A tiny beautiful something showcases a new hop variety, El Dorado. We started playing around with this hop last year. We brewed a pilot batch with this hop exclusively and one with it blended with some of our other favorite Northwest varieties. In the end, we decided that the El Dorado had such a unique and interesting character on its own, so we decided to brew it as a “single hop” pale ale. The aroma and flavor offer intense candied orange and citrus zest. A touch of flaked oats provide a rounded, silky mouthfeel. And like our other hoppy offerings, tiny was brewed to finish dry and clean.

Clear, orange, sticky white head. Tastes straight up like oranges with a nice bitterness and a tiny bit of bright zest flavors. Smells the same as the taste. This is such a simple, basic stuff well done beer. Love it.

Pint bottle purchased at the brewery by Tracey and Bob dated 10/24/17. Light orange color with a citrus nose. Taste is mostly citrus with orange and some grapefruit. A smooth and enjoyable beer but not our Maine Beer Co. favorite.

Bottled 10/24/17.....purchased and opened 11/10/17. Delicious.

In every category this beer excels. Yeah, I'm not crazy about the price point either, so once in a while treat for me. Love that this brew finishes so clean and dry. So drinkable. Well executed example of a single hop ale brewed with El Dorado. Lots of love packed into this 5.5% brew. Cheers All......

A good tasting beer especially for the low ABV.

Golden yellow in color with average head and small spots of lacing scattered everywhere. Aroma is light with fresh orange and orange peel being dominant. Taste is subdued and maybe just a tiny bit watery. Dominant flavor is orange peel and at the very forefront there is a minute medicinal taste that leaves rapidly, not really detracting from the overall beer. A light feel beer with a clean finish with only a bit of ornge pith. Refreshing !

L- Darker than expected. Copper look, followed by a slight red tint.
S- Exceptional. Floral bodied aroma, followed by a hop punch, citrus, grassy notes as well.
T- Flavor is under-toned for sure. Very much grassy, very minimal flavor wise.
F- An in between light and medium bodied.
O- One of the best smelling beers I've ever had. Flavor is under toned but still extremely complex. Extremely well put together beer.

A: pours a minimal, half finger head, sudsy, fairly clear, copper gold body
S: has a dank, peppery aroma, with a cookie like malt sweetness, lemon in the nose
T: has a cookie-like malt sweetness in the taste, with good amounts of citrus and some more subtle pininess with a clean bitterness at the finish
M: medium, not overly sticky
O: a damn good beer, I've had better pale ales, but not many. I love what maine beer does, they perfectly execute styles, though and through

Bought at Kroger's @ Swift Creek Midlothian Va 500ml bottle $7+tax 7/18/17 on label! Poured a rusty orange with a beautiful aroma from the el dorado hops! Starts grassy and then the malts/citrus fruits kick in - very clean light and refreshing! Excellent summer beer and with the abv at 5.5% You could have a few without worrying too much! Only complaint I have is the price point because at $7 I would be broke by the end of summer drinking this pale ale!! There are other pale ale's just as good for much less money!! Not a go to/Home beer for me! Extremely glad I got to taste this beer because Maine Beer Company make some outstanding beers! Enjoy your Summer! SEH
