Notes / Commercial Description:
A tiny beautiful something showcases a new hop variety, El Dorado. We started playing around with this hop last year. We brewed a pilot batch with this hop exclusively and one with it blended with some of our other favorite Northwest varieties. In the end, we decided that the El Dorado had such a unique and interesting character on its own, so we decided to brew it as a “single hop” pale ale. The aroma and flavor offer intense candied orange and citrus zest. A touch of flaked oats provide a rounded, silky mouthfeel. And like our other hoppy offerings, tiny was brewed to finish dry and clean.

Just had an April 2018 bottle. This is a very nice beer from hop experts responsible for some sublimely rated other items.

This had a citrusy nose and a piney, bitter flavor. Had it not been labeled a pale ale, I would have called it an "IPA". It really is more IPA than PA, with a rather more hoppy forwardness to it than a PA would have. A little bit of haze and some sediment. Mixing the sediment in actually made it less bitter, and even a bit complex. Definitely better with the sediment. Finish, as advertised, is very clean like a west coast IPA. Very low ABV at 5.5% means a single 500ml bottle is a good match for a long, nice meal. Rating may be a little high from a purely objective standpoint, as it really lacks much complexity, but I give them extra points for seeing what they could do with a single hop approach. But don't be blinded by surreal ratings for some of their other beers. This is good and somewhat interesting, but won't knock your socks off.

Decanted from a 16.9 oz (500 ml) bottle into a conical pint glass; bottled on 03/27/2018.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, rich, golden yellow, somewhere with exuberant head formation leaving a greater than one inch head with really excellent retention and foamy lacing.
S: Floral with a distinct rose scent mixed with lemon, apple, and sweet maltiness.
T: Semidry. Citrus, particularly grapefruit, lemon and pine. Bitterness very subtly, leaving a very clean, refreshing finish.
M: Light bodied with strongly persistent effervescence. Silky on the palate.
O: I was wondering was the MBC APA would taste like and am not at all surprised. Really exceptional. Another superb offering for summer. Light and refreshing.

Pours a very hazy medium orang gold color. Aroma is weak to me. Taste is as advertised with candies orange and citrus. Very smooth and clean. Feel is very soft and low in bitterness.

This a fantastic beer with enough subtlety to make it just right.

This pours orange, slightly hazy with a sticky head. The smell was citrusy, definitely smell orange. The taste was kind of subdued with the orange and citrus up front and some sweet malt flavor on the backend. The mouthfeel was surprisingly more creamy than I thought given the light flavor of the beer. Overall I really like this beer. I'm finding that I really enjoy the flavor of the El Dorado hop which is featured in this beer.
