This is a paddle ale in a league of its own. Huge head and tons of lacing. Cloudy deep straw gold. A little yeast chunkiness.

Nose is clean malt and citrus, mild tropical fruit. Light grains and sweet dough.

Taste is superb. Mild honey and pale malt sweetness. Mild grain and multigrain crackers. Mild earth overlayed with stronger tropical fruit and citrus. Dry finish is short with hop oil coating the back of my throat.

Creamy feel. Crisp swallow. Refreshing, quenching and super sessionable.

This beer makes my list of ten beers I could be stuck drinking for the rest of my life, if I could only have one. Excellent brew!

Pours a pale, golden yellow color, like fresh hay. Smells a little bit malty, with a touch of pine and citrus. Crisp, good malt backbone throughout, with a light citrus and pine flavor. Light body, relatively high carbonation. Great summer beer, could certainly see it for watching football or baseball. Easy to drink and tasty.

I agree with the high ratings. (Unusual for an ale that is not extreme in hops or alcohol.) This APA is put together well.
I like that this is a home-brew recipe made between two brothers who improved on it and grew a brewery and now can share their creation with lots of people. And all their offerings are in the British tradition. They stick to their knitting.

While Peeper's hops shape a typical high-quality APA, the malt blend reminds me of a English Pale Ale; mostly how the sweet malt sings in unison with the spicing... instead of a duet as many AIPAs do.
A very enjoyable ale and I intend to have more from Maine.

This is an almost perfect beer. MBC creates world class beers that are fairly accessible throughout New England. The look of the beer has that light straw hazy yellow color to it telling you you're in for a real treat. The taste instantly brings you to citrusy hop heaven. It's gorgeous, not too strong, not too weak. It's just an overall incredible beer that needs to be tasted to be believed. A great beer for the summer!

On tap at Great Lost Bear. The appearance was a clear light golden colored body with a decent amount of carbonation heading towards the top. The lacing was spotty and ringy. When the bartender gave the beer to me, there wasn’t any head whatsoever. The smell had mainly citrus backed up by some pine. The hops are pretty balanced throughout. The taste was the pine and citrus hops with a slight bit of a grassiness. On the palate, she sits about a light to medium, is fairly sessionable, crisp, sweet clean aftertaste and finish. She was slightly watery at times but at other times had a moderate amount of harshness, weird but no complaints. Overall, this is an excellent choice of a beer. Its good for the style and good for me, however this could be closer to an AIPA.
