Notes / Commercial Description:
Our take on an American amber ale. Complex malt bill delivers notes of dark raisin, chocolate and biscuit. Copious additions of American hops yield notes of pine and citrus.

Pours a deep amber color with a small, off-white head that leaves little chunks of lacing.

Smells of some pine and citrus hops along with toasted malt.

Tastes of the toasted malts layered with some hops. Malts lead off with notes of caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. This gives way to some molasses and more burnt flavors. Hops come next with citrus and pine mostly. Some dark fruits comes towards the end before a malty finish.

Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is a nicely done amber.

Pours a deep amber color, slightly cloudy with a thick, well retained tan head that left lots of lacing. Smells of roasted malts, citrus and caramel. Tastes of orange rind, roasted malts, caramel, pepper with a hint of toffee and chocolate. Finishes moderately bitter. Moderately carbonated, smooth and creamy mouth feel, an excellent beer.

Nice amber hued beer with a foamy light tan head that leaves tons of lacing. Smell is citrus pine and sweet malt. The taste is orange and pine with a nice caramel sweetness. Really nice brew.

Draft pour to snifter. Copper brown color with rather dense head. Pine nose with malt coming through. Bitter, full body, hop notes that linger. Average carbonation.

Bottle to snifter ( dated 08/09/16)
LOOK: murky brown, small but creamy looking head.
AROMA: I get malty grains and bread, plus some pine, oak, and citrus.
TASTE: Mellow Barley, ash and burnt sugars fight it out until resinous pine sneaks in late and adds just the right amount of bitterness.
FEEL: very much alive. Medium body. Probably the best attribute here.

A well crafted beer.
