Style: American Amber / Red Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.20%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our take on an American amber ale. Complex malt bill delivers notes of dark raisin, chocolate and biscuit. Copious additions of American hops yield notes of pine and citrus.

Poured from the bottle. Slightly better than a typical brown ale...but still a brown ale. Good head. Slight caramel?

Dark brownish hue, good head, smells nutty/malty. Didn't live to the hype, but I would try again, maybe from a different source. It got better as the beer warmed, maybe served too cold?

Just noticed this is 6 months old. got the bottle at my local MA liquor store and forgot to check the fill date. So I will have to try this one again, but overall an OK amber ale.

Not my favorite style of beer, but this is really tasty. Can't wait to try more stuff from MBC.

It poured a very dark red with some light brown edges. A small white head appeared for less than a minute. The lacing was light and stuck to the pint glass for a good minute then gently slid down the sides of the glass. The smell was the hops and caramel, some pine and citrus enter in the background. The taste was sweet and bitter between the hops and caramel with some spiciness. The palate was well carbonated with a slightly creaminess coating the mouth and still had a dry finish. Overall, this was impressive.
