Our American-style stout aged on natural vanilla beans. Intense notes of coffee and dark chocolate lead way to subtle notes of natural vanilla. Flaked oats generate a silky mouthfeel. Hops: Centennial, Magnum.

L: Pours a dark brown that is a little reminiscent of coffee, with a medium foamy tan head thar lingers for a bit and no lacing on the glass.

S: Rich sweet and earthy coffee, mix with milk chocolate, a hint of ash and some less sweet roasted malt, all ends with a hint of vanilla.

T: Sweetmilk chocolate, mixes with an earthy bitter coffee, some slightly ashy and roasted malt, definitely not a super a sweet stout but does taste very nice.

F: Smooth and silky mouthfeel, low carbonation.

O: This is a very enjoyable stout, it is a nice change from all of the pastry stouts crowding the market these days.

L: Pours a dark coffee brown, forms a moderate tan head that fades slowly. Thin film of retention on the surface and a nice foam ring around the edge of the snifter. Pitch black hue when held to light.

S: Not getting much. Faint chocolate and malt.

T: Baker's chocolate, roasted malt, coffee to begin. Trace of vanilla. Finishes bitter with hops.

F: Medium-bodied. Thinner than your average stout. Decent carbonation.

O: Take this beer, barrel age it, double the ABV and it would rate higher. Terrific flavor profile but it lacks punch.

Draft at Lost & Found. Dark brown/ black pour, small beige head. Aroma is predominantly chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet and bitter(more sweet though) lingering Pleasantly on the tongue. Body just about right. Can see why this is rated so high.

Pours dark. Tan foam. Clean aroma. Roasted malt body. Light bitter finish. Chocolate and coffee are present but not overpowering. Smooth and delicious. Certainly doesn't taste mean or old.

After trying I think this is better than the rating on this site. The overall craftsmanship is great. Roasted coffee, vanilla, chocolate, toasty malt, oats, and a bit of hops on the finish.

16.9oz bottled 01NOV22 (38 days ago) poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 6.5% ABV. The beer pours opaque very dark brown with light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and uneven layer of bubbles. Slight lacing. The aroma is mild with bakers chocolate and roasted malt. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with more dark chocolate, coffee and slight vanilla. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good. The vanilla is not overdone and the balance and drinkability are perfect.
