Super fresh, this was crafted a couple of weeks ago.
Clear amber golden color with a thick two finger head with eternal retention and leaving a wall of laces. Hazy at the last pour.
Amazing tropical and citrus aroma with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple with mint, tangerines, mango, lemon and biscuit malts. To die for. Event thought whether I should leave something apart just to keep smelling it further.
Superb flavor with bold but also elegant notes of grapefruit, pineapples, passion fruit, tangerines, American yeast, mild spices, nectarines, pine, flowers, mango, lemon, fine tobacco and slightly toasted and biscuit malts.
Dry aftertaste with a long lasting bitterness, but it is far from aggressive.
Medium body with perfect carbonation. Alcohol of 7% abv is well disguised.
That was definitely a treat, one of the very best IPA I ever had with amazing aromas and flavors. Perfect low sweetness level and complex and balanced hop profile between citrus, pine and tropical fruits. As good as it gets, so not sure I should even rate this higher. It did hold up to the hype. Great beer for ending Sunday to counterbalance that shitty feeling for this day.

Poured from 500 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottle was within the 90 day "best buy" date.

Appearance: color of honey - golden/bronze with an immense foamy/soapy head that lasted thanks to a mildly aggressive pour. Very slightly cloudy.

Smell: Citrus fruit right away, then some more tropical fruitiness of mango and pineapple. Slight beadiness, slight phenolic spiciness, maybe a touch of pine in the background. Very pleasant and enticing aroma - just says "drink me" loud and clear. No alcohol on the nose.

Taste: a wonderfully balanced brew between with the bitterness contributing rather than dominating. Grapefruit, orange, slightly floral, sweetness from the malt, surprisingly earthy, malt sweetness, pleasant level of bitterness on the finish and slight aftertaste of grapefruit peel.

Feel: extremely smooth, medium-bodied, carbonation spot on with "small" bubbles yet no "burn". Not as "fizzy" as appearance would suggest.

Overall: A great beer to just sit and enjoy. It's got a ton of flavor but remains uncomplicated. It's all about the hops, but there is enough malt presence to make this one smooth drinking beverage. The flavors all blend and get along nicely - this here is a winner.

A: Dark gold with a touch of hazy bronze. Fast rising and sturdy white head. Thick banding.

S: Vanilla sponge cake. Lime, guava fruit. Super lemon haze.

M: Smooth almost to a fault. Thin and quick, and somewhat biting; pleasantly tart. Frequent carbonation.

T: Citrus rinds; Caribbean lime; pink grapefruit. Light hay; green pine; fresh minty aftertaste. Almond astringency. Overall rating reflects the cost/reward ratio.
