Notes / Commercial Description:
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

Just after opening our brewery, working long nights, weekends, and still maintaining our day jobs, my brother Daniel (the brewer) had twins. Cheers to his courage and dedication to making better beer.

Crisp, fresh, excellent balance. I could drink MO all night. This pale ale has the perfect amount of hoppiness to make me a happy guy.

Maine is quickly becoming my favorite brewery. I can't pass up the opportunity to try any of their beers. This one lives up to the small amount of hype built around it. Can't wait to have Lunch one day!!!

Poured a cloudy gold body (maybe orange) with slow dying one finger head and lace all down glass. A wonderfully wet, citric hop aroma with touches of sweetness. Smooth, slightly grainy with something akin to crackers for a dryness that passes the tongue on each sip. Flavors are bitter yet juicy hops and there are some tropical fruits and a touch of sugary sweetness but for most part this is a hoppy, dry beer.

L: Clear gold with a white head and great retention. Very nice lacing.

A: Peach, Citrus and Pine dominate, a touch of toasty malt in the back and a very clean yeast character. Amazing smelling beer.

T: Smooth bitterness upfront, moves into big citrus and peach hops with some pine resin. Malt provides support in the flavor with some toastiness and candy-like sweetness. The mouthfeel is extremely dry, ripping the moisture from your mouth. Hop flavors linger on the palate for some time.

Overall, an awesome APA, one of the best I have had. Very west-coast, even more so than a lot of west-coast beers. I would recommend this to any hophead looking for a fix.
