Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Appearance - Pours a clear gold with two fingers of bubbly white head.

Smell - Citrus hops, citrus zest, hint of tropical fruit (passionfruit, mango), bready malts.

Taste - Light to moderately bitter citrus hops that come across the palate with a clean finish. Bready malts and hints of tropical and citrus fruits support the hops well. Hint of soapiness. Bitterness lingers well into the finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean finish.

Overall - A tasty American Pale Ale that delivers on quality flavour. I can see myself having a few of these on a warm summer's day.

hazy golden liquid, yellow-ish gold foam on top, but wow! what an aroma!!!! grapefruit, but with a hint of chocolate chip cookies.... yeah, I know that sounds a little wild. more sniffing and the toffee sweetness is going away...
very flavorful. very hoppy, in a pine and grapefruit way. nice mellow brew. very nice. a little bit of the simcoe/cat pee in the smell but it's not bad. the flavor imparts the same, but it's not bad. not getting the sweet aroma I first had in the taste and that aroma has long since subsided.. Lemon!
