Amber color, with cherry edges. Clean. One finger of foam, a little to evanescent.
Malty smell, caramel notes, almond. Then fruitiness, red fruits, maybe ginger?
Again a resolute maltiness in the taste, caramel, intense and fruity, with bitter almond notes.Red fruits, and a balancig bitterness, for a beer that it is quite sweet per se.
In the aftertaste, start with caramel, biscuit notes, light toasted.
Then the hop bitterness, a light spiciness, and again red fruti.
Pleasant and complex.

Pours cloudy amber with no real head. Caramel apple nose. Candied pear malts with maybe some chestnuts, a Belgian yeast tang in the middle, and ample orange marmalade hops. Round, medium to full, a bit of burn.

Simple, big but not a bully. Nice amber.

I definitely enjoy this beer on tap, only one of two Genoa based beers I've found here that way (other is their Blonde, which is ok, but I prefer bolder beers). It pours with a good head, although it is not overly carbonated. I had to hunt for it, as beer is not as prevalent here as wine, but well worth the effort. One thing of note, Maltus Faber bottles seem to have lower carbonation than most American beers, on tap they are more similar with a good head. if you find yourself in Genoa this is worth the effort to find.

I think it's a belgian amber ale. However, in the glass has got an amber/light-brown colour with a good quantity of foam that remains in the time. The smell is sweet but very interesting with malts, caramel, a bit of fruits and herbs. In the palate the body is medium but creamy and so soft. Incredibly drinkable. Starts with sweet notes of caramel and malts, but after some seconds comes the hoppy touch with herbal notes and in the end/aftertaste again hops with a nice bitter and a bit bit bit of roasted flavour. Very good! MF brewery doesen't wrong a shot!
